I Said Can I Take You Home With Me - Chapter 68

*PAIGES POV*

"Paige, there's a spider." Shelby tells me. My side of the phone stays silent for a few short seconds. "Oh dear lord." I say quietly before hanging up. Chloe is rocking Demi back and forth and Niall is hovering behind her making sure she doesn't do anything wrong. "Shelby okay babe?" Niall asks me sweetly. I begin to laugh before grabbing my car keys. A sky blue Mini Cooper. I've always wanted that car for as long as I can remember and yesterday Niall somehow wrapped a large pink bow around the vehicle and yelled 'surprise!'. I smile at the thought. "Yes she's fine. There's a spider and none of them will go near it so.." I say before straightening my arms out and hinting towards myself. He smiles "But babe. You hate spiders! Any insects in fact.."
"Yes....that's why I'm bringing you and Chloe with me!" I reply before gently sliding Demi into my arms and wrapping her personalised pink blanket around her. "Haha! This I gotta see!" Chloe almost shouts before running towards the car and sliding into the back. I stop Niall before we can leave the house "When do we have to leave Niall?" His eyes fly up to meet mine, knowing what I'm talking about. "The premiere's tomorrow so, probably tonight." He confirms to me. I nod and bow my head. "Babe. You'll be fine. We'll be fine." He says, trying to reassure me. "I know I know but, this premiere is meant to be about you and the boys and you're first 3D movie! That's a big deal and with me there...their just going to be asking about Justin and Demi and..everything and I don't want to ruin it for you!" I more or less poor my feelings out to him. He shakes his head quite aggressively. "Paige! No! If you're not going then I'm not going! Perries going. Chloes going. Shelbys going. Beth's going. Ellie's going. You have to go!" 
"But...what about Demi? Who'll look after her?" To be honest, that's just an excuse. I don't think I can face the press yet. "All taken care of. You're parents are driving to London as we speak and are going to look after her during the premiere. And yes, I did offer to pay for some flights but they refused so.." I laugh once more. "Yeahh... they don't agree with people paying for them." 
"I've noticed!" he replies with a smile before kissing my passionately. We've not done this in weeks. "C'mon guys!" Chloe shouts impatiently. Niall groans angrily as he's forced to push away. "Later..." I say playfully before biting my lip and turning towards the car.

"Finally! Jesus, what took you so long?" Shelby asks before pulling me into a quick embrace. "Long story. Where's the spider?" I ask with a grin on my face. "In there!" Liam says quickly pointing towards the living room. I laugh and eye the lads "So, none of you have any balls then!" I say sarcastically. "None what so ever!" Shelby says agreeing with me. "Hey! You weren't exactly jumping in excitement when you saw it sis!" Jack replies. Shelby raises her eyebrow and leans forward "Who was the one who screamed like a girl? Oh yeah that's right you...bro!" She replies and Liam claps his hands "I think the word you're looking for is touché Jacky!" He says happily. Before Jack can slip out another comment Niall steps forward and passes Chloe Demi, who stands next to Harry comfortably. "So let me get this straight. Hazza, Lou, Zayn, Liam and Jack...couldn't catch a tiny little spider, freaked out and ran over here. And then Shelby's ringing a girl whose terrified of insects to come kill it." He says like this was some sort of investigation. 
"Yeahh well...Paige always helps and I knew you'd be coming Nialler so it's all good!" Shelby says honestly as she pats his shoulder. I stand slightly awkwardly in the middle of our group as Niall walks into the living room and towards the spider. He stays silent. "Babe. Babe, you got it?" I ask as I slowly walk into the room. Everyone else stays away from the doors, basically pushing their torsos into the staircase. I raise my eyebrows at them "Fucking wimps..." I whisper. Louis and Harry nod their heads with grins across their faces "That's us!" They say before bursting into laughter. "I can't see the...fucking hell! That thing isn't not a spider! It's a freaking monster!" Niall shouts running out of the living room and joining them at the staircase. Chloe gently places Demi on the floor so she's free to crawl around. Me and Niall were shocked at how quickly she picked it up. "Seriously Nialler!" I exclaim. He shrugs his shoulders and smiles innocently. "So you've all left me, miss terrified of spiders, to kill this thing?" they all look at each other at nod. "Where's Paul when you need him eh?" I ask but then realise that I can't see Demi. "Demi? Demi, where are you sweetie?" I call out. Finally they all separate themselves from the case and start carefully searching the house. Suddenly I hear a bunch of people laughing in the living room. "What happened?" I ask curiously. "Looks like Demi sorted our spider problem!" Zayn says happily before picking her up and tickling her sides. "My clever little niece." he says happily. I look down and find that she somehow took off one of her pink converse and slammed it onto the spider. "Damn! That thing was huge!" I say shockingly. "Told you!" Jack says. Niall swings in from behind me and wraps his arms tightly around my body. "You know when you said later..." He whispers in my ear. I giggle "Shelbyyy!" I say out loud, dragging her attention away from Liam. "Yeah Paige?"
"Do you think you could look after Demi for a few hours please? Me and Niall need to get everything packed for London and..."
"You don't have to say anymore Paige!" She replies before leaning in towards me. "Have fun." She says sarcastically before taking the bag from my shoulder and pushing us out of the door.
