I changed my direction when I heard the yelling voices of my high guard. I rounded the corner of the building and found Jules holding a Royal by his throat against the wall and his sword pointed under his chin.

"Jules! Let him go!" Niko was trying to pry Jules off the Royal, who begging for Jules not to kill him.

"No, I know what I saw!"

"Dammit Jules he didn't do anything!" Niko trying to get Jules to disengage.

"Jules back off." Trevor had reached the scene before I got to diffuse the situation. "Jules look at me let him go."

"Trevor check the file!" The Royal had been clutching a manila folder in his hand.

"What the hell is going on?"

"Celina, I'm glad you are here. I found this guy searching through some important papers. I know he is a spy."

I looked over at Trevor and he shook his head. "Jules stand down. Let me sort this out."

"I swear, I know he is hiding something." Jules hand tightens around the Royal's throat causing his face to turn red.

With more force in my words, "Jules stand down!"

Jules back down withdrawing his baton collapsing it but not taking his eyes from the Royal. "Search him and you will see what I'm talking about."

Trevor took the folder from the gasping Royal handing it over to me. I opened and peruse the contents only to find a one page report. "Jules this is nothing, it is just the report on his duty station."

"Celina, I know he is up to something. He was walking around here like he was ..... Ahhhh! Let me go Niko." Jules jerked away from Niko turning away from us.

"You can go." The royal scampered away quickly. I approached Jules from behind grabbing and squeezing his hand. "Jules, even if you thought he was guilty you can't go around drawing your sword on people."

Jules slightly angled his body towards me with his eyes closed. "Celina, I was protecting what you built." His sorrowful voice was barely above a whisper pulling at my heart.

"I know, Jules. I will look into it."

"Okay." He sulked away still mumbling about spies under his breath. Niko followed him staying several steps. I'll keep an eye on him and make sure he stays out of trouble. Niko sent his message to me through our mindlink.

Thanks Niko.

"Trevor, what's going on with Jules?" I resumed my path to my office with Trevor matching my stride.

"He is a little on edge. Hell we all are. There is something brewing, our wolves are feeling it."

"It's been six months since we took over. What do you think it is? Keagan is handling the rogue problem."

"I know Celina; I can't put my finger on it. The visit from the African Queen Searcee is definitely not helping."

"I know what you mean, her insistence on coming to talk to me in person and not over the phone has me a little apprehensive. But with all that said, we can't have Jules threatening people he deems suspicious."

"I agree, maybe sending him to help out Keagan in the Northwest with the rogues will keep him busy."

"Trevor, I'm not sure if that is the answer. I get it. All of our lives we have been fighting for survival hoping that one day we could have peace. Now that we have it, it's eerily quiet."

"Are you making any headway on who was helping Kristoff?"

"No, Korin is going through some files he found in a hidden safe in his office. He believes that it had to be someone much older than us and has a powerful position. We know that the forbidden dagger was given to him, but no idea who."
