I stood by the warriors barracks just watching the activity, as everyone scurried around making last minutes adjustments. I hope that we able to make the new plan worked, since having to change it after the desertion of some of the other packs.
"They are close Celina. Are you ready?" I looked at Deliah nodding my head. I glance back over to people running to get into their positions. I wanted to be there on the front line, but Trevor was right. In the state that i'm in I was too vulnerable. This is it the beginning of the war to take back everything that was stolen from me. Was I ready? Deliah placed her hand on my shoulder breaking me out of my thoughts.
"I'm ready." I gave her a quick, reassuring smile and we both turned heading back towards the pack house. There stood the remaining Alphas, Korin, and Trevor. The other high guard we stationed on the front lines along with some of the stronger warriors, including the amazons. Korin and Trevor refused to be away from my side and are officially my bodyguards during the skirmish.
"Everyone its time." I announced. I watched as the alphas gave out the commands to their pack. We all walked to the gates that separated the pack house from the training grounds. We had all the guards removed from the back gates leaving it open as a welcoming invitation for the royals.
"They're at the back gates." Deliah relayed to us.
Tension wound within me as the atmosphere became electrified with anticipation and hope. Hope filled us all that we live through this to breathe another day. Anticipation that the plan will work and we draw them in into our trap. My warriors, numbering about hundred, formed a line in front of me and Deliah, Korin, Trevor and the Alphas stood on either side of me as the last line of hope.
The royals emerged from the behind the barracks closing in on our ranks. As Deliah informed us they were a little over fifty their swords drawn following their fearless leader, Sebastian. Sebastian commanded authority and attention as he marched towards us and even at this distance he exuded an air of arrogance. He stopped his forces within a hundred feet of mine, close enough for me to make out his facial features. He had a knowing smirk on his face as the looked over my warriors.
"Hello dear cousin, I see you brought out the welcoming wagon. Is this all you left? What a hundred men? Is it really necessary." Sebastian gave me a little grin. "Are going to hide behind your.. your, what do you call them?"
"They are my family!" I sneered.
"Huh, family? I am your family. Stop all this nonsense and come with me to the castle."
"Why so you can lock me up again? I don't think so!"
"I had nothing to do with that, my father tends to me more melodramatic than me."
"I don't recall him throwing me off a cliff!"
Sebastian rolled his eyes, "That is in the past. I let my emotion guide me. So why don't you tell your pups, I mean family to back off. If you leave now, I will not kill them. No one has to die today. Let these people here walk away with their lives. Just like the other packs that deserted you earlier. They saw that you will never win and the King will stay in power."
"I don't think you have grasp the gravity of your situation, dear COUSIN!" I gave a quick nod to the alphas.
Suddenly the ground behind the royals erupted and more of my warriors poured out behind them. Now the royals were surrounded, encircled by 200 men. We had dug trenches in the ground and then covered them up to hide more warriors.
Sebastian slowly glanced around him and had the nerve to smile. "Well played cousin, but still not enough to kill us."
"As always your pride is bigger than your common sense." I took several steps forward breaking through the line to face Sebastian. I slowly perused the faces of the royals that traveled with him. "My fellow brothers and sisters, if you drop your sword now and join us, I will spare your life. I am the rightful ruler of our lands. I am your queen! Stand with me and all of your actions you did under the name of the King will be forgiven. " I waited holding my breath hoping that some of them would follow my lead.
None of them moved from their position. Sebastian laughed at my attempts. "You see everyone knows which side will be the winning side. If you won't come willingly then I will take you by force!" Sebastian quickly withdrew a gun by his side shooting at the warriors next to me.
Korin grabbed me from behind shielding me from the bullets. He picked me up and rushed me back towards the pack house. Sebastian's gunfire was the catalyst that began war. All my warriors rushed the royals and the sounds of swords and gunfire exploded. Korin ran into the pack house with Trevor close behind us.
"Celina are you hit?" Korin was frantically checking my body for any bullet holes.
"No, no. I'm fine! Stop Korin!" I grabbed his hands to stopped his fussing over me. I looked over his shoulders to Trevor. "What's happening?"
"We are holding our own. It's chaos right now. I'm going to go and see. I will be right back." Trevor stated and quickly left through the same door we entered.
"I thought maybe some of the royals would join us. How foolish was I?"
"You weren't foolish! You showed compassion, where none should have been given. You are a better person than me, because I wouldn't have allow them a choice."
Trevor rushed back in to tell us what he saw. "It looks like we are winning, but we will have loses."
"What about Sebastian? I wouldn't put it passed him to use his own warriors as decoy so that he gain access to Celina." Korin inquired anger laced with each word.
"I saw him fighting. I will pass word to have people keep an eye on him if they can." Trevor started pacing back and forth in front of me as I sat on the couch. We could hear the sounds of the battle going on and It angered me that I couldn't be out there fighting alongside my people. Trevor stopped immediately his high guard sword appearing out of thin air.
I jumped up from the couch, "What is it, Trevor?" He glanced at Korin and he nodded. "Some of the royals broke through the line and headed our way." Korin stood unholstering his gun. "The guns are useless, the bullets aren't penetrating the royal armour."
Korin dropped the gun on the table and unsheathed his two swords. "Celina go my dad's office and lock the door. No matter what don't open that door." Korin leaned over kissing me on the forehead and they both turned exiting the house. I followed Korin's instructions and ran to Brant's office shutting and locking the door. I pulled out my sword ready for anything that may come through it.

This is part 1 of the battle. Sorry it took so long to write, meant to update a couple of days ago, but I've been in a lot of pain from an infected tooth. Yesterday had surgery and still pretty doped up on pain meds. I wanted to get something out before I fell asleep. I will be working on the next part as soon as I wake up!
