I followed Korin through the crowd stopping frequently listening to their stories of dealing with the King. I reassured them that change will be coming soon and I have their best interest at heart. Korin had sent word that we would speak with all the alphas in his dad’s office in an hour.

My guard was easy to spot and they were glorious in wolf form.  We stopped in front of them and my eyes drank in their presence. Now I understood why Korin refer to them as war wolves! Similar to Korin, their wolves were bigger, but their muscular bodies were enhanced by sharp, silver spikes that protruded out of their backs and around their paws.  The bodies were made like a weapon if any one dared to get too close.

Jules was the first to lower his head, “My Queen, we are at your service.” The others lowered their heads in unison, showing me respect.

“Jules, thank you.  Please, no formalities.” Trevor’s black wolf stepped closer to me breaking away from the group.

“Are you good?” Trevor’s eyes searching for any signs of discomfort.

“The transform was hard, but now I feel great!”

“Let’s go somewhere quieter.”  As usual Trevor knew what I needed.  It was becoming extremely hard to keep the voices at bay.

We left the fields and headed for our house in the woods.  I was glad that it was still somewhat isolated, especially now as the voices became distant the further we moved away from the fields.

Before we entered the house everyone shifted back into their human forms.  They transformed in seconds while I watch at their ease.  I hope my transformation will be done without pain. Instead of staring at their naked forms, they all stood sheathed in black thin material.  The material covered the guys from the waist down like a pair of pants and the girls had the same pants like the guys with an additional strip covering their breasts. I looked over to Korin to see him in the same pants like material only his were black with red designs.

All eyes on me waiting for me to shift and I tried but nothing happened.  Closing my eyes I imagined my human form but again nothing.

“I can’t shift back.”  I was irritated as I clawed the ground.

“Hey Celina, remember how you helped me?  Just think about your human body and..”

“I am picturing it, Jules but it isn’t working.”

Jules stood in front of me with his palm out.  His baton appeared on his palm and then ever so slowly it extended.  “Don’t just picture your arms and legs, picture them elongate just like I do with my baton.  Remember?”

I nodded my head and picture my body changing from wolf to human, my paws changing into feet, the fur retracting into my body, my wolf head morphing into my human one.

“Holy shit, Celina.” Jules stood in front of me with his mouth hanging open.

For a second I was confused until I raised my arms and realized that as I was imaging the shift it happened.  I was looking at my arm but it wasn’t bare it was covered in material unlike the others. My hands brushed over the material that was decorated in intricate designs of red, black, and white.  It had a rubbery texture to it yet it was soft and didn’t chafe my skin.  In fact it felt like a second skin, I looked at the others to gain their thoughts and I was being circle as they inspected my new outfit.

“I thought our little cover-ups were cool.  Yours is the shit, Celina.” Jules grinned.

“Trevor, any thoughts?” I wondered out loud.

“A theory, I think it’s an armor of sorts.” Trevor surmised thoughtfully.

Korin reached out his hands running them down my arm, “It feels alive.”

“Alive? What do you mean?” I looked at him and glanced down at my body.  Korin glanced at Trevor and he nodded.  Korin stepped back and Jules and Niko armed themselves with their weapons pointing them at me.  “Guys what are you doing?”

Trevor smiled at me before answering, “Testing out a theory. Don’t move.”

The boys advance with their weapons and I tried to still myself for the impeding attack. Niko and Jules attacked simultaneously swiping at me with their blades.  I held my arms up in self defense and as their blades hit me an electric current travel over my suit and through their weapons.  The boys’ bodies jerk and collapse to the ground.  Everyone rushed to them to see if they were alright.

“Son of a bitch that hurt.” Jules moaned.

“I won’t be trying that again.” Niko croaked.

“As I expected, your body armor is a weapon in itself.  It has a self defensive mechanism to it.  So far against weapon we see what it can do, I wonder about hand to hand combat.”

“We pass!” Jules and Niko shouted in unison.

I giggled and reached down to help them up.  “Sorry guys, I didn’t mean to hurt you.”  They both declined my help and refuse help from anyone else as they staggered to their feet.

“We need to see what else the suit is capable of.” Korin stated giving me a devilish smirk.

“Whatever you are thinking don’t.” I took a step backward.  Korin charged me slamming me into a tree before I had time to process what was happening.  The suit reacted sending out a pulse that push Korin off of me with such force he went flying backwards in the air about 20 feet.

“Celina look at me, I need you to control the suit.”

“Control it?  Are you kidding me?  It’s freaking me out a little.”

“Listen, it reacted because it sensed your fear, its feeding off your emotion.  Let’s spar and I want you to concentrate and not give off any sense of danger.’

“Okay, I can try, but I won’t promise anything.” I faced Trevor in a fighting stance and Trevor crouched ready for the attack.

“Come at me, Celina.”

I did and we engaged in hand to hand combat, and this time the suit did not react to the sparring we were engaged in.  “Enough, you see, you control the suit.  It only reacts when it thinks you are in danger.” Trevor smiled that his theory was right.

“What about my sword?”

“Imagine it in your hand and it should appear, as it does for the rest of us.”  I followed Trevor’s instructed and before my eyes a beautiful sword appeared on the palm of my hands.  The blade was black with jagged edges and the handle had a grip on it that fit easily in my hand.  I twirled the beautiful blade in my hand several times.  It was perfect.  The hilt on the sword had my royal symbol to let others know what bloodline this sword belongs to.

Korin came up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.  “You pack one helluva punch. Remind me never to get on your bad side.” He placed a kiss on the back of my neck and I leaned back into him enjoying the feel of him.

“Then you better do everything I tell you.”

“Within reason, princess.”

“You mean queen.”

“No princess.  You will be always be my princess.” Korin nipped at my ear and I let out a little moan.

“Get a room you two!”  Jules huffed.

“Inside we need to talk.”  Trevor announced and the others filed into the home with me and Korin bringing up the rear.  Before we entered Korin gave me a searing kiss and promise more later on tonight.

We all sat around the table discussing our next plan of action.
