What the hell was I doing. How can I make her forgive me? Will she ever forgive me? I ran giving my wolf the freedom he needed to exercise his frustration with the way I've handle our mate. Celina wasn't the only one who hasn't forgiven me. My wolf was pissed and blamed me for the loss of his mate. He was dealing with the pain of losing his mate. Although he felt her for a second at Blade's pack, it wasn't enough. He was scared she would never return to Celina. I mindlinked with the warriors at the gates to let me through, I couldn't stay inside the pack grounds, because it was too claustrophobic. The place was now crawling with people and it started to look like a refugee camp. I guess in essence our place has become a refuge for packs needing protection from the rogues.
Korin where are you!
Leave me alone Trevor.
Wish I could but I have orders. Now tell me where you are.
The scene of the crime. Then I blocked communication from Trevor, rushing to the place where I had lost all chances of getting what I truly wanted. Celina. I walked to the edge of the cliff and stared across to the opening of the caves where that bastard dropped Celina. I roared with the image of her falling not caring if any nearby rogues was bold enough to attack. Right now I would relish a fight to take all my anger out on someone.
Are you done? Trevor was in wolf form and resting on his hunches looking at me. I snarled at him and turned back towards the cliff.
Back off Trevor. I was not in the mood to deal with his shit.
It's not safe out here. even this close to the pack grounds.
I needed space.
Celina wanted me to.. I snapped around baring my teeth.
Don't. Tell my mate not to worry. I won't leave until I do my duty and mark her when its time. She couldn't forgive me, but she wanted to make sure I stick around to give her what she wants.
You really think that's all she wants from you? Your DNA to make her queen?
Isn't it? It's what she being working towards all of her life! That's what she is always throwing in my face!
Wow your opinion of her is so off the mark! I've watched her and felt her true emotions before you came into the picture. What you are describing is the person she has built up to protect herself from getting hurt and showing vulnerability. There have been moments that I've seen through it. I know for a fact that she would love to live a simple life; to have a mate and children.
Really she hasn't shown that to me. As I remember she picked you over me!
When will you let that go! Our decision to mate had nothing to do with you but the survival of her people. I didn't come here to hash over the past. I came to give you a message from Celina.
What is it? I was tired going back and forth with Trevor.
She forgives you.
What'd you say? She forgives me. Hope flared inside of me. Maybe there is still a chance to get her to truly love me as I love her.
You heard me. Now get your head out of your ass and let's go back. Trevor turned and started to walk away from the cliffs in the direction of gates.
Are you sure that's what she said. He stopped and glanced back at me.
Yes Korin! I wouldn't be out here if she didn't practically beg me to come tell you before you did something stupid. She loves you.
She forgives me and she loves me. My heart soared and I needed to see her.
"Well, well if it isn't Celina's lap dog and mutt." Sebastian appeared in front of us along with five other royals. "I do believe you made this too easy. I got two for one!"
We can take them. Sebastian is mine! I growled lowering myself to launch at Sebastian's throat. Trevor snarled beside me tense and ready to lunge forward, when I felt a needle prick my neck. I felt the fire burn through my veins and I looked over to Trevor to see he had collapsed onto his side. My eyelids grew heavy and slowly slid down. The last image I saw was Sebastian laughing as he stood over us.
