Rebecca smiles to herself. She double taps Casyo's picture and carries on staring down at her dress. This dress is everything and more. She can't wait for him to see it. She wonders how he'll react.
She'd just finished rewatching his 4-part documentary, King For A Day. After the whole 'mum' thing on Insta, people were eager to spread awareness about child abuse, and he became a big part of that. She's proud of him.
Uma gasps as he enters her room, even though he's already seen her in the dress. "Darling, you look great!"
Rebecca's feeling quite nervous. And it's not because she's about to get married. No, she isn't nervous about that. It's who's going to be there that has her tense.
The person comes into the room. She's accompanied by two police officers, who will stand close to her throughout the day, to make sure she doesn't try anything. Inviting her was a big risk. But it's a risk Rebecca believes is worth taking. After all, she'll only get married once. And she wants this person to witness it.
"Hi mum."
Willow gasps, "oh, honey, you look beautiful."
"Thanks." She sense tension between her and Uma, so reassures him to clear the air. "Mum's gonna be sitting at the back. She'll be handcuffed the whole time. Me and Cas are paying these officers to keep an eye on her. Not that she wants to do harm anyway."
"I really don't," Willow chips in. It's her daughter's wedding day. The last thing she wants to do is mess things up. She wants everything to be perfect even more than Rebecca does.
Uma isn't convinced. Who can blame him? But for Rebecca's sake, he smiles and nods instead of arguing. "Ok, bunny. You do what you think is right. I'm supporting you each step of the way."
