Word count... 1944

We all sat unanimously eating from our dishes, Hanji continuing to stare at me back and forth. I was almost done with my plate already, so anxious to eat this morning and maybe figure out who the new recruits are.

Without worry, she threw her arm across me, and began to grin at me as I turned to her slowly.

" So... What's up?" Hanji giggled.

I swallowed, grabbing my water and washing down some of my food as I stared back at her.

" Follow me."

-

" So you guys haven't got a schedule yet though, right?" She scratched her head, bringing my attention to her matted hair. Yikes.

" Want me to do your hair?" I asked briefly, slipping my boots on in my room. She nodded no, and awaited my answer from her initial response.

I huffed sharply. " Yep. No schedule yet, I think I'll make one soon after I go grab my laundry."

" Good! Levi's gonna be tough to work with though, I wish you the best of luck." Hanji stood up, heading towards my door.

" See you later today! Be downstairs by uh, at least 11?" Hanji twisted my door open, flailing her arm goodbye.

" Got it!" I chuckled, standing up as I eyed my clean floor. For shoving all my clothing in my closet, it kind of got better.

Now that Hanji knows what I'm working with, I'll be all set for later today when the new scouts come in- If there even is anyone willing to join the Scouts.  If I had made the choice to be in the MP's though, I'd probably be so drunk and lousy all the time.

I needed to go grab my laundry, so I practically ran out of my room in excitement. I wasn't hungry, or too nervous today. There was nothing to worry about from now on..

Unless I'm stuck with some real assholes.

The hallways were lit by the random windows around the maze of a building, letting me remember where I had been leaving from. It all looked the same; Dull stone and old wood floors anyone could flip and fall through if they weren't looking where they were stepping.

A door crashed shut behind me as I jumped at the noise. I spun around stiffly, catching a glimpse of Captain Levi standing a few feet behind me. It was awkward when I was next to him.

I pursed my lips, twisting on my foot as to walk away from him.

Although everyone I had ever spoken to in my ranks would describe him as "Rude" or even "Stale", I saw him as being severely boring, and even stale too.

I stepped faster down the hall as I didn't hear him, or anyone tell me to stop. I ran a hand behind my head to my hair, laying it flat as I quickly felt my hand was stuck, and my legs.

My head twisted to see Captain Levi, who had grabbed my arm like I was about to slap him. He scoffed, placing a small, folded pamphlet into my palm as he kept a hold on my frozen wrist.
