Chapter 83 - Crushed

Stephanie was over-excited at celebrating her 10th birthday. She was in love with some singer by the name of Tommy Page and Danny was able to get him to sing for her on her birthday. I was excited for her that she'd finally get to meet her crush. It was like when DJ was her age, and very much in love with a-ha's Morten. In fact, she still loved him! She even had a videotape of their Rock In Rio concert the previous year, and was still getting the butterflies when she thought about how she met Morten at his peak in 1985.

Now it was Stephanie's turn to meet her crush. We all got dressed for the birthday party, and Jesse loved my tight red top and matching red lipstick.

"I don't think I'll be able to wait until bedtime to ravish you." He said.

"I'll be ready, baby." I told him, flirtatiously with a wink.

Joey and Therese would be here for the party, but they were preparing to perform on a cruise, in which they would be away for about a week. Jesse and I were always happy to look after our handsome godsons. Frida loved having them around too!

"What cute boys you are!" Cooed Therese as she changed the twins. We then returned to the dining area, where I held them for a while. Frida, who was walking everywhere now, reached up and stroked their little heads. Nicky smiled at her, which was too adorable.

After a little while, Therese put the boys down for their sleep, and then she, along with Pam and myself, made some party food. I made my chocolate swirl paximathia, which were Stephanie's favorite of my Greek biscuits, and because I was such a great cook (according to the other women), I made the birthday cake. It was just a typical chocolate cake with frosting, but Pam and Therese insisted I made it best, even though they're good cooks too.

Michelle helped me spread the frosting on the cake, and after we were done, we licked the frosting off our spatulas.

"Hey, there's my two biggest fans." Said Joey when he came into the dining room, upon seeing the twins in Therese's arms.

"And my best woman!" He said before kissing Therese.

A few hours later, the party was about to start. Once all of Stephanie's friends arrived, everyone started to dance.

Jesse and I then suggest that the boys and girls pair up together for a partner dance, but the girls all mobbed Jesse and the boys all came up to me!

"Not us!" I said. "Each other!" And at that the kids decided to remain segregated.

Shortly after, Danny presented his gift to Stephanie.It was none other than Tommy Page.

We all formed a circle around Stephanie, as she sat in the middle while Tommy serenaded her.

Steph looked so happy and star-struck. Not to mention completely besotted!

Kimmy, who decided to attend the party after hearing Tommy Page was coming, threw herself at Tommy like a common groupie, calling her his "love slave". It was clear she was obsessed with him.

"DJ, why'd you tell Kimmy Tommy was coming?" Said Danny.

"She's my best friend, I tell her everything." Said DJ.

"Ok then, tell her to go home." Said Danny.

Jesse and Tommy met formally, talking about the arenas in which they performed. Tommy was an fan of Jesse, and loved his music. He felt really honored to shake Jesse's hand and have a conversation with one of his musical heroes.

Tommy autographed Stephanie's CD, and then made plans to record Stephanie's song so she could listen to it whenever she wanted to. I was so excited for her.
