In late 1991, just 3 days before Frida's 1st birthday, Therese finally gave birth to the twins! Joey picked the name Nicholas ("Nicky") while Therese picked the name Alexander ("Alex").
Jesse and I were the godparents to Nicky and Alex, and we loved those boys like they were our own. Joey and Therese were already teaching them to call us Uncle Jesse and Aunt Ophelia! But it's quite clear that Jesse and I were very different in terms of parenting styles.
To tell them apart, Therese's mom knitted booties for the twins, one green pair and one pinkish pair. I, personally, did not think those were appropriate colors for boys. If it were me, I'd have knitted baby blue and ocean blue booties.
The Tanners, along with Jesse and myself went to visit them, and that was when the Tanners met Nicky and Alex for the first time.
"Wow, they're so little, my doll's dresses can fit them!" Said Michelle.
"Michelle, they're boys!" I interjected. "Boys don't wear dresses."
But Therese just laughed. I didn't like that at all. Joey was a great dad, and he used his different funny voices to play with the babies.
Us three families were visiting each other all the time. Shortly after they came home from the hospital, Michelle wanted to hold one of the babies since DJ & Stephanie got to hold them.
"I'm afraid you're too little, Michelle." Said Therese.
"Honey, babies are very delicate." Said Danny.
Sometimes Frida would sit with Nicky and Alex, and play with them. It was adorable watching my daughter play with my godsons. You could clearly see they loved each other. She hadn't reached her first birthday, and already she knew how to play with other children. My baby was growing right before my eyes.
After the twins fell asleep, my beautiful Frida climbed into my lap and took a nap herself. I kissed her forehead as she slept in my arms. My precious little angel, I thank God everyday that He chose me to be her mother. I love her so much!
I cooked some spanakopita for Jesse when he came home. Spanakopita was the first hot food I learned to make when I was young.
"Oh I never get tired of your spanakopita, baby." He said once we sat down to eat. I'm glad so many people liked my cooking, though I try to be humble about it. Our nieces were still asking about my Greek biscuits!
Anyway, one particularly memorable moment was when Jesse and I were singing the 'Bonanza' theme song while bouncing the twins on our knees. That was fun! When Frida was a baby I used to bounce her up and down on my knee in rhythm to ABBA songs!
Gosh, Nicky & Alex were the cutest baby boys I'd ever seen in my life! Jesse and I were more than happy to watch them whenever Joey and Therese needed us to, and it helped that Frida loved having them over too.
Therese was still a bit hormonal after the birth of the twins. Alright, maybe a lot. She cried at all sorts of things, like when she wanted to twins to wear certain colored booties that her mom made for them (pastel orange & pastel green) Jesse and I had the nerve to ask if the boys should be wearing those colors because they seemed a little feminine to us.
"You hate my mother, don't you?!" Wailed Therese, as she cried into Joey's shoulder. He hugged her, and caressed her hair to try and comfort her.
"We don't!" Said Jesse.
"I certainly don't!" I told her. "Therese, I've known your mother for years! She took great care of me, I love her!"
"Oh I know, I'm sorry." Said Therese still sobbing. "I'm just all over the place right now."
"I understand." I told her.
A while later, Jesse and I were in the basement of the Tanner home, playing pool. Joey came down looking mentally exhausted.
"Mood swings?" Asked Jesse.
"Yep." Replied Joey. "I don't know how to help her, I mean one minute she's fine, and then it's sobs and tears the next. I hate to say this, but it's almost like she's gone nuts."
"I can't imagine it'd be easy, but give it time." I advised him. "It'll pass."
"Yeah, just hang in there, she'll be as good as new before you know it." Said Jesse.
"That's easy for you to say, Jess." Said Joey. "Ophelia didn't have mood swings after she gave birth to Frida. Did she?"
"You're right, she didn't." Said Jesse. "You got a point there. But if you want, we can watch the boys for a few hours."
"Would you?" Said Joey, as his face lit up. "Oh, thank you!" Joey hugged Jesse tight, and Jesse awkwardly patted him on the back.
Later that evening, we watched the boys, and our little Frida was having a ball with Nicky & Alex. Soon, Joey and Therese came to pick them up, and Michelle went with them so she could see the babies. She wasn't letting up with wanting to hold them.
"I'm two weeks older, can I hold the baby now?" She asked.
"I don't think she's gonna let this go." Said Therese.
"You're probably right." Said Joey. So Therese sat Michelle on the couch and put a pillow next to her while Joey got one of the babies to put into Michelle's arms.
"Look at me, I'm holding a baby!" She said.
"Look how happy he is, Michelle!" Cooed Therese.
"That's because he likes me." Said Michelle.
"Of course! You're like his big sister, he looks up to you." Said Joey.
Nicky and Alex were absolutely ADORABLE! My little Frida appeared to agree, as she played with them. I couldn't help but picture that beautiful moment on camera. Frida was like a big sister too, as she loved Nicky & Alex.
When I wasn't singing, I was a traditional housewife, looking after my baby, and often times Nicky and Alex. Jesse and I were still very traditional people, and if one of us had to stay home with the children, it would be me, while Jesse would go and work in the studio. I'd always make sure I looked my prettiest for when he'd come home, while the hot dinner would be in the oven.
During the next couple of years, we looked after Nicky and Alex a lot, as Joey and Therese were regularly on tour on cruises, and they needed to bring in the money and couldn't live off royalties alone.
They'd call from their hotel, asking how things were, asking us to send their love to the boys. Jesse and I offered to help them with money, but they declined.
Jesse and I put the children to bed. Because Frida was not that much older than them, she didn't mind sharing her room with them. By now, she was moving around quite a bit, and could already walk since she was 10 months old! Jesse and I were so proud of her.
"Gosh you look sexy in that." Jesse whispered in my ear, grabbing my derriere, referring to my white slip. I then lay on the bed, in anticipation as he climbed over me, and pulled down the straps of my silk slip, and the rest of my dress down and off my body.
"Beautiful..." Said Jesse, running his manly hands all over my smooth, feminine skin. He kissed my chest, then pulled away to slide my panties off. I gently lay my hands on his body as he kissed me. He gently slipped into me, making me moan.
I melted in his arms, getting the erotic tingles as he kissed my neck, caressing my body. Jesse French kissed me as he thrust inside me, pleasuring both me and himself intensely. He started thrusting faster, and him touching my sweet spot quickly brought me over the orgasmic edge.
I began to cry out loudly as my orgasm was so intense, and when it was done, I relaxed my head on the pillow as Jesse continued to thrust, before his penis finally gave out, and Jesse came so hard, that he almost screamed. He let a loud, exhausted moan when his orgasm subsided, and he kissed my sweaty neck multiple times before rolling me on top of him.
He kissed my forehead as I rested my head on his chest, before we fell asleep in each other's arms.
