FYA - Suspecting

The next day after accompanying Hyal, I found myself pushing a cart inside a supermarket along with his cousin, Mordi.

"Do you like carrots?" He asked as we were at the vegetable section, buying ingredients for what he is cooking.

Tumango na lamang ako at siya naman ay maiging kinilatis ang mga gulay na nasa harap namin. He was even asking the staffs when the items were delivered here and so on.  And once he is satisfied with the food, he will place it inside the push cart that both of us were pushing together.

I was actually surprised early morning when I received a text from him, asking if I could go out. Then, as we arrived here, he told me that he would fulfill his promise about the soup that he was talking about. I'm not sure if the Griyego was low-key distracting and cheering me up because I noticed how they would randomly call, text, and facetime me. The other day; Sol gave me a bunch of treats and sweets; while yesterday I was with Hyal, accompanying him to a party; and now, I am with his cousin, having groceries with him to make me food.

Somehow, I couldn't help but be touched by their actions. We did grew apart as we take on our lives, but I was glad that we found each other again. It may not like be the same as we were kids back then, though the feeling of our bond just grew more. And I couldn't deny that they already made a spot in my heart back then, and still is, only getting more bigger.

"Can you get the courgette?" He suddenly said that made my brows furrowed.

"A what?" I asked.

"There." He pointed at the green vegetable as he was fixing the food inside the cart.

Nilapitan ko naman ang mga ito at saka napakamot ng sintido gamit ang hintuturo nang malaman ko ang gulay na tinutukoy niya. Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako at saka kumuha nito.

"You could've told me it's a zucchini," I said and rolled my eyes.

He slightly glanced at me as he took the zucchini from my hand and placed it in the cart before thanking me. "That's what we call it. I thought you knew."

Napailing-iling na lamang ako dahil sa napagtanto at saka nagpatuloy na kami sa pamimili.

"Really? A whole chicken? I can't finish that," I said as he took a whole chicken from the meat section.

"We have company," he said straightforwardly.

Sandali akong napaisip. "Oh, you invited the others?" I asked.

I saw how he stilled for a bit like he realized something. He glanced at me for a second and it looked like he was having thoughts about saying something. My brows furrowed with his sudden behavior.

"Don't worry, it's okay if we share it with the three. I don't want them guilt tripping me for soloing your cooked meal," I said and shrugged off my shoulders.

I don't want to hear Hyal and Rio's nagging for not sharing it with them as well. Though, Rio was already aware that I went with Mordi here. And I don't really mind if we all eat together. It's actually nice for a while to see a table filled with people. Well, it's not like I'm not okay with having to dine with Rio, is just that... it feels different eating if there are more people. Kahit papano rin no'n ay nakakabawas ng lungkot at nakakaganang kumain kapag nakikita mong marami kang kasama.

But I feel like it's a bit different at Mordi's case. He nodded at me, but he seems baffled with something. I wanted to ask him about it, but I figured maybe I was just thinking things.
