FYA - Explanation

I almost lost my balance if it weren't from my hand holding the doorknob. I could still hear Detective Roque's voice from the other line, but my lips felt trembling. I almost hitched my breath when I heard her spoke.

"M-Mama.."

My voice was so weak, but it still managed for her to hear it. Nag-unahan ang pagtakas ng aking luha nang lumingon siya sa akin. And with every ounce of strength left in me, I did my best to walk towards her direction and immediately pulled her into an embrace.

I felt how her shoulders jolted, surprised with my sudden action, but I ignored it. I was confused and shocked with how she ended up here and what she is doing inside our guesthouse, but I set aside all of those because as long as she is right in front of me, alive and breathing, nothing matters anymore for me.

"T-Teka... nagkakamali ka ata," naguguluhan niyang sinabi at saka ako marahang tinulak palayo.

My eyes widened and my heartache when she pushed me, looking at me as if I was some kind of stranger to her.

"Afia, you know her?" Saka ko lamang napansin na si Asa pala ang kanina niyang kausap at katawanan.

I looked at him with a questioning expression. How did he know my mother? Does he even know who this person he is talking to?

With all my questions inside my head, I ignored him and fully gave my attention to my mother. "Ma, it's me.. Afia."

Unfamiliarity was written all over her face as she was looking at me. Her knitted brows and slightly parted lips were a sign that she was dazed and confused with my behavior towards her. Did I mistaken her for Mama? But that can't be! She has the same voice, face and figure of her. I couldn't be mistaken! But why is she looking at me as if I was just a no one to her?

"What's happening here? What's with all the—shit! A-Auntie?" Dinig ko ang gulat na bagong gising na si Rio habang nakatingin sa amin.

So, it is her! I can't be wrong!

"Uh.. baka nagkamali ka lang, hija, ngayon pa lang talaga kita nakita–"

"But that's bullshit!" I couldn't help but raised my voice.

I held her hand even if I saw the terrify in her eyes. My hands were shaking but I still held onto her firmly. I couldn't care less how I look like right in front of her, but I can't be wrong that she is my mother.

"I've been searching for you for so long, Ma. P-Please, stop messing around. You can't say you have never seen me... I'm your daughter, Acacia Fiorra! Mama, please..." I was already begging in front of her as I saw tears forming at the side of her eyes.

She took a long pause as she looked at me, she was about to say something when we were suddenly interrupted.

"Uh, magandang umaga po. Asa, nandito ba si Ate Abigail?"

My brows slowly furrowed as I heard that familiar voice somewhere. I didn't want to take off my eyes from Mama, afraid that she'll suddenly be gone again, but the voice I heard pulled me out of force to look at the person.

Rage and fury began to burn deep within me the moment I laid my eyes on him. Now that he has no black cap and he wasn't ducking his face, I could clearly see now the person who did this to her. I have no idea how he ended up here and why he is here inside our guesthouse, looking for my mother, but I wanted to stab him in the chest multiple times so he could know how many times I felt pain inside my heart because of what they did.
