FYA - Misunderstandings
"And you are claiming that he is missing because..." Rio trailed off, waiting for Hyal to answer his question.
He sighed and looked at me. "Because Asa wouldn't suddenly vanish into thin air nor not even giving us a heads up to where he is going. Asa's not the type that would suddenly cut off lines with us, I know him better than that."
"And what's that got to do with me, Hyal?" I asked coldly as his mouth slowly hangs open, unexpectedly hearing those from me. "He did not vanished. Yes, because he already told me that he would be leaving me. He already marked his claim of leaving," I continued.
It's his own will and choice for leaving me. He gave me vague answers to my confusions. He was so determined to leave that even if I had to swallow my pride just to make him stay, he still chose to leave me hanging. So, I got nothing to do with him anymore. But even so... I couldn't help but somehow worry about him.
"W-What?" Naguguluhan niyang sinabi at sandaling napaisip sa aking sinabi.
"Wait, that's what he told you when I left you with him?"
I sighed and just shook my head. I didn't bother telling him what Asa and I have talked about. I was already at the bottom of the pit, so I ended up not caring anymore about anything.
"Hyal, I told you to wait for us."
They didn't got the chance to greet us when their words were immediately cut short as Hyal snapped his fingers, realizing something.
"I know why now!" He said while looking at me with a hint of sadness. "He left because he didn't want you to be hurt and him as well because of your involvement with his mother," aniya na nagpagulat sa amin.
"What involvement?"
Hyal leaped from where he was standing like he got caught on from someone who he was gossiping about. However, Tita Nevaeh was confused as he was looking at all five of us.
"Why are you three here?" Naguguluhan niyang sinabi at napatingin sa akin. "Afia, Rio, you already met with them?"
I sighed. I forgot that I didn't tell anyone that I already know that we knew each other already back when we were kids. I also did not mention it to Tita Nevaeh that I met with her friends' sons due to the fact that I was not in a stable state to entertain anything other than my mother's case. And now, behold! We unexpectedly met, all of us.
My cousin, on the other hand, was looking at me and them, asking me in a nonverbal way to why am I not surprised that Tita Nevaeh knows them.
"Tita, to tell you the truth... I don't want the truth to come out of my mouth." "But since your son is not here... I might as well be the one to say that.." he trailed off.
"Say what? Cut with the fucking chase, Hyal!" I said. I didn't want to curse in front of Tita Nevaeh, but Hyal's cliff hanger is getting into my nerves.
"That he found out that you are the other child of his mother!"
