"I can't believe he's still in the hospital wing-"
"It's been over a week-"
"He's just being dramatic. You two walk slowly"
"We aren't even able to move, Lia! Stop complaining!" Pansy said laughing as I grinned at her and Daphne from where we stood in the middle of the packed corridor as we shuffled along while I turned around and looked at Blaise who was shuffling along behind us
"Alright, Blaise?"
"I hate slow walkers"
"Oh wow, me too- move up here" I told him laughing as I motioned to the free space beside me as he shook his head before I sighed and grabbed his arm before pulling him up beside me as I turned to him with a grin
"There you go"
"I was happy back there"
"Well then go back there!" I said to him laughing as he looked at me amused as he shook his head
"Nah, I'm too lazy"
"That's relatable" I snorted as we swapped grins and I felt something hit my back as a numb feeling spread through my back and arms as I moved them confused, feeling a slight stiffness as I looked to Blaise
"Is there anything on my back?" I asked quietly as he peered over my shoulder before looking back and shaking his head as a confused feeling swept over me and I started feeling pricks along my skin, numb at first before they started to become painful stings as I rubbed at my arms, wincing
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine-"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah-"
"Hey Lia?" Turning my head I looked at Pansy who had a curious look on her face
"Do you agree with me when I say that water solves all of our problems? Like, all of them"
"Oh no, here we go again-"
"Yeah, I guess-"
"No! How?!" Daphne asked loudly as Pansy smirked at me and I shook my head amused
"Again. I truly believe water solves all of our problems. Why? Dehydrated? Drink some water. Want clear skin? Drink some more water. Need to rid yourself of an enemy? Drown them" she stated with a shrug as Daphne fell quiet and she turned her head to her with her eyebrow raised as my arms and back started to sting badly while I felt something start to roll down my arms
"Am I wrong?"
"Only morally- Lia? Where are you going?"
"I'm just going to the bathroom- tell Flitwick I'll be late please" I said to them over my shoulder as I slipped into the bathroom we were passing as I listened to the door shut loudly behind me as I made my way to the mirrors, dropping my bag and cloak as I pulled my jumper off over my head and hissed as I dropped it on top of my bag and stopped when I looked up. Standing still I stared at the lines of blood that had soaked through to my shirt as I turned around and looked at my back where the blood ran in long and thin lines as I turned back and warily rolled up my sleeve as far as I could as I stared at the cuts and scratches that littered my skin
"Well that doesn't look good"
"That's what I was thinking too" I told Myrtle quietly as I glanced up briefly and found her floating just behind me as I grabbed a heap of toilet paper and soaked it under the taps before gently dabbing at my arm as I pressed my lips together forcefully while I tried not to whimper in pain as I quickly stopped and grabbed my jumper, forcing it into my bag
"Who done it?"
"I don't know- I'll see you later Myrtle, I need to go and change" I mumbled as I grabbed my cloak and bag as I carefully slung it over my shoulder before leaving as I gave a wave over my shoulder and disappeared through the empty halls and to the dungeons as I locked the bathroom door behind me and quickly took my shirt off, staring at the blood that was rolling down my skin as I grabbed my wand and healed them as best as I could as I grumbled under my breath, throwing my clothes into the hamper before making my way to the shower
"This will be a long year"
