|Chapter Seventy four : Appearing|

Standing still in the middle of the corridor with Pansy beside me, I clutched my books to my chest as I watched Oscar run straight into a glass door before knocking himself out as he fell backwards onto the floor motionless as I stood still for a minute before turning around and walking the other way

"Isn't that your brother?"

"Shhh! Lower your voice!" I hissed at Pansy as we distanced ourselves from Oscar as she started laughing loudly and a smile grew on my face

"I don't want people knowing me as the lassie that's related to the kid that knocked himself out by running into a glass door"

"Understandable I suppose"

"I could always say he's related to you"

"Can't. I'm an only child"

"I don't know if that's lucky or not"

"Kind of it I suppose. Although I do get lonely at points-"

"Awh! No! Don't be lonely- I'm here!" I told her as I threw my arms around her and dragged her into a hug as she started laughing and I kissed her cheek

"Owl me whenever you're lonely"

"I will. Thank you Lia"

"No problem hunny, I love you"

"And I love you too. By the way, have I ever told you that I could get lost in your eyes?" She asked with a grin as we started walking again and I let out a slight scoff

"You could get lost walking in a straight line. Try again"

"Merlin... that's rough"

"No, that's honest"

"I- yeah..." she mumbled before nodding as we glanced at each other before the two of us both burst out laughing, walking up the deserted flights of stairs as ghosts floated past and we tried to be quiet as portraits turned to look at us as we passed

"Did I tell you that I brought my camera?"

"Your what?"

"My camera. My video camera" I told her as she looked at me confused and I let out a laugh, taking a couple of moments to explain to her what it was

"It should be Daphne you talk to this stuff about"

"I know, at least she understands what I talk about. Although I mainly took it just so I could video us doing stupid shit to piss Blaise off" I told her as we both started laughing again and I felt an arm around my shoulders as I stopped, crossing my arms over my chest as I turned with my eyebrows raised

"You don't look happy so I'm going to go. See you in the common room Lia" Pansy said quietly before shuffling off as I continued to stare at Cedric as he tried to grin at me

"Hi!"

"Hello"

"Are you okay?...."

"I'm fine"

"Liar-"

"Where the hell have you been?!" I asked him loudly as he laughed slightly before I was pulled into a hug and I groaned

"I've been around"

"It's been over a month!"

"Has it? Time flies when you're having fun-"

"Bloody hell Cedric, you weren't there when I was needing you! How do you think that made me feel?" I asked him, my voice slowly dropping as I let out a quiet whine as I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back as he moved his head to look at me

"You were needing me?"

"I was needing support and reassurance and you  were never around" I mumbled to him quietly as he stepped back and looked at me

"Why didn't you say?"

"Like I said: you were never around. I never saw you anywhere"

"I've been busy lately Lia"

"I guessed, it's fine. Don't worry about it"

"But I wasn't there when you wanted me to be: I'm going to worry! Why was it you were needing me? What's happened?"

"It's fine, it doesn't matter anymore"

"It clearly does" he told me quietly as I let out a quiet sigh and looked to him

"I was needing you to help me decide whether I was to stay on the quidditch team or not-"

"What?!"

"I've already decided-"

"You didn't quit, did you?"

"No. I went back" I told him quietly as I was pulled back into a hug

"If you had tried to come and find me-"

"'Tried'? Who said I didn't?"

"I- no- that's not what I meant- I-"

"Sorry. I shouldn't have of-"

"Stop apologising Lia. It was my fault-"

"No it wasn't-"

"I should've been around though-"

"But you were busy-"

"Oh my god will the two of you shut up?!" Turning around we both looked at Abbie who was staring at the two of us with a grin

"Just hug a bit tighter and that'll be it all over and done with and you'll be back to your normal cuddly selves. Just please stop apologising and making up excuses"
