"Take my hand"
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked as I turned my head and found Draco walking by my side, only a day having passed as I stared at him in surprise, having absolutely no clue where he had came from as I looked at him confused as he took ahold of my hand and carried on walking
"What's happening?"
"That guy behind you has been following you for the past half an hour" he told me quietly as I moved my other hand and ran it along the waistband of my shorts to make sure my wand as still there before deciding to pull the hem of my vest down just to be safe, thinking about just how out character he was
"So that's why you've decided to hold my hand?" I asked, slightly amused as he turned with a smirk
"Yeah, sorry"
"No it's fine" I told him quietly as I turned my head around and seen who he was talking about, dressed in all black with his hood up he stood still in the middle of the path staring at the two of us as a chill ran down my spine and I turned back, a sudden thought springing to mind as I turned to him amused
"You know, for you to know that he was following me for that long means that you must've been doing it too" I pointed out as he looked down the path in front of us with a thoughtful look, where we were just coming into sight of the small village party ahead of us as I turned back to him amused, the sky turning pinker with each passing minute
"Bold assumption that I was following you like that guy. I just noticed he was following you and decided to follow him following you so he didn't do anything-"
"Amelia!"
"Hello Lina" I smiled as she came over to us, light brown hair sitting in soft waves with a few noticeable grey hairs coming through as she took both of our hands and started walking us towards the main reception where people were gathered on a makeshift dance floor as I gave Draco a reassuring nod until she pushed us together near everybody else who was dancing with someone as she started wrapping a ribbon around the two of us
"What are you doing Lina?" I asked as she walked around us again and tightened the ribbon with a slight forcefulness as I was pulled towards Draco and I hit against his chest as I apologised laughing as she started fumbling with it around my back, tying it before coming into our line of sight
"All couples are to be tied together"
"I- no- but we're not a couple" I told her laughing as me and Draco shared a glance, no space between us as my cheeks turned pink and she looked between us with a knowing smile, speaking before walking away
"... Sure looked like you were on the path" watching her walk away I tried my best not to sigh as the music floated in my ears and we stood awkwardly while I looked down at the ribbon that was tied around us
"So... do you go to parties a lot?" I asked quietly as I glanced up at him and we started laughing as I shook my head and turned away before looking back
"We need to get this off of us"
"We do, but that woman is coming back over" he muttered quietly as I looked at him as he nodded discreetly to his left and I turned and watched Lina walk over with a small silver bowl in her palm
"Here, take this"
"Are we to drink this?" Draco asked uncertainly after the bowl was placed into his hands and we both stared down at the clay-like liquid as I suppressed myself from pulling a face
"No, place your fingertips in and then put three dots on each other's foreheads for good luck" she explained smiling before leaving us again as we glanced at each other then to the small bowl
"I don't know if I want to do that or not"
"Me neither" I mumbled as he sighed slightly before glancing at me as he placed his finger into the liquid as I glanced up at him while he raised his hand and gently placed three dots onto my forehead as I let out a light laugh. Placing my fingertip in, I looked back up as he gave me a pointed look
"I swear to Merlin if you get any of that in my hair I'll curse you"
"Can't preform magic outside Hogwarts" I reminded him in a sing song sort of voice as I smiled at him and watched as he restrained himself from rolling his eyes as I raised my hand and brushed his hair out of his face
"Got to make sure it doesn't get in your precious hair" I said amused as I put three dots on his forehead as I looked at the excess before I shrugged and swiped it along his nose as I let out a laugh
"This is a great look for you"
"Yes, thank you for that, just what I was wanting"
"I could tell. At least it's not in your hair"
"It better not be" he mumbled as I started laughing again as a smirk grew on his face and I cleaned my finger before looking at the ribbon
"We need to get this off"
"We do- you'll have to untie it, I can't reach around" I told him laughing as he glanced over my shoulder before reaching his arms around and attempting to untie the knot as I tried to stay still before he started laughing
"What?"
"Your arms are in the way"
"Oh, I'm sorry!" I apologised laughing as he looked at me with a smirk as I moved and wrapped them around his neck instead
"Easier?" I asked amused as he quietly hummed a response and he moved his hands back as he started to untie it as a few quiet moments passed
"Is that it done?"
"Yeah, that took longer than I thought it- stop moving you're making it worse!" He said laughing as I stopped spinning, ending my attempt to untangle myself as I stood with my back to him laughing as he moved his hands away and started unravelling the ribbon until we were both finally free to move
"Thank god that is off- do you want to get a drink?"
