Three's a crowd

No one paid any attention to me when I slipped back into the room with dad, a smile clearly plastered all over my face. I took a seat on Rileys lap again and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"So when are we leaving?" Anna asked.
"Yeah, Shane and I need to prepare our books for the flight!" Sophie added.
"Exactly!" Shane agreed.

Levi and Grace seemed to have left while I was gone, but I tried to ignore the fact I was the only child from my family still here. Not because it was awkward, but because it left me the only target for my parents to focus on.

"Well, Levi and Grace just went home to pack their stuff, we leave tomorrow so Britt you'll have to come home tonight and pack." Mom said.
"Okay." I smiled as mom looked at dad who nodded.

We left soon after that. Riley had pulled me into a tender kiss after he walked me to my parents car, which only prompted my mother to have the talk with me again on the way home. I don't know why she had to be so awkward about it. She had put me on birth control when I was thirteen to help with my cramps, but for some reason she didn't know how to approach the topic of sex without making me want to crawl into a grave.

I was thankful when we pulled into the driveway and I could run into my room away from the monstrosity of sex talk my mother had with me. Even dad was asking her to stop as she rambled about their first time together and how it solidified their relationship. All it made me want to do it vomit.

I pulled out my suitcase and packed some pajamas, summer dresses, shorts, cute shirts, makeup, as well as some bikinis and one set of matching sexy underwear just incase. I didn't plan to use them, but the idea of finally being able to sleep next to Riley had my heart pounding at the thought of whether that perfect moment would come while we were away.

When I was done I called him like I always did when we weren't at each others houses.

"Hey beautiful." He answered.
"Hey."
"What are you doing?" He asked
"I just got done packing you?"
"Same. Its weird having to pack pajamas since I usually sleep in my underwear." He laughed.
"Really?"
"Yeah, but mom and dad said I had to have pajamas if I wanted you to stay with me so I dug them out of the dresser. I don't even know if they still fit."
"Well if they don't you can always borrow my mickey mouse pajamas!" I chuckled.

I laid back on my bed and pulled the blankets over me as we talked about how cool it would be to finally vacation together. Neither of us bringing up the topic of sex directly.

"Are you okay?" he asked when I hadn't spoke in a while.
"Yeah why?" I asked.
"You just got quiet, listen I know its a lot to have to share a room, but seriously no pressure. I'm just happy I get to cuddle you all night." he admitted.
"Yeah, I'm kind of excited to go to sleep in your arms for once."
"Well I'll let you get some sleep and I'll see you tomorrow. I love you!" he said.
"I love you too." I smiled to myself before hanging up the phone.

The next morning we packed up our things and met Riley and his family at the airport. The ride was awkward mom and dad were talking about god knows what in the front seat while I did my best to stay looking out the window as Levi shamelessly groped Grace beside me.

I swear if my parents should be concerned about anyone having a kid it should be my brother. I'm almost certain they never had the deep talk with him like they have been with me. They probably just threw him a box of condoms and left him too it. 

As soon as the car was parked I jumped out and began grabbing my suitcase. It had only been one night and I already missed Riley. Its almost as if he consumed me. Everything I did I wanted him to be a part of it no matter how small it was.

When we entered the airport he was standing with his family by the check in lane. They were clearly waiting on us, but I didn't care about standing in line. I walked up to him and pulled him to me as both our families stared.

I didn't have it in me to care about that right now. All I cared about was that I had missed him and I needed to feel his lips on mine. I leaned up and kissed him as if we were completely alone, relishing in the feel of his hands on my waist, his lips moving in tandem with mine. I was more than excited to be going on vacation with him, even more so now that I knew I would get to wake up next to him every morning.

When we were done we made our way through check in, dropping off our luggage, and then headed to our gate to wait for the plane to board. Thankfully our parents had decided to let us all sit separate from them, well with the exception of the twins and Anna who refused to sit anywhere but first class.

For us and my brother and Grace, normal flying was sufficient. We had window seats on one side of the aisle, and they had the opposite side of the aisle.

It was a long flight and after watching a movie on the small headrest screen, I dosed off on Riley's shoulder. I had flown before many times, but somehow being with him made the whole experience better somehow. As if we were moving from kid dating to a more mature version where we travelled.

I could picture us doing this every year. Sitting beside each other, watching corny movies as we travelled across the world to new destinations. It felt like a dream come true.

When the plane landed I was still asleep, Riley's head rested over mine as he also slept. No nagging parents, just us together. Well until my annoying brother woke us up.

"Come on kids, we are here!" He said tapping my cheek.
"Levi why are you so annoying!" I grumbled.
"I mean you can stay on the plane and go back home, but I figured you both wanted to see Hawaii." He laughed as I wiped my eyes and stretched.

He turned and walked away with Grace as I grabbed my overhead luggage and took Riley's hand as we both exited the plane together.

After a quick boat ride wrapped in Riley's arms, followed by a short drive we arrived at the vacation house.

It was beautiful and every bit as Riley had told me. He led me inside behind the adults as we walked into the house. It was magical to walk into the large living room and see nothing but the beach and ocean stretching as far as the eye could see.

"Come on, I'll show you our room." Riley smiled grabbing my hand and luggage as he led me to the end of the hallway and into a large room that seemed to be completely unattached from the others.
"Wow!" The only word I could get out as I took in the floor to ceiling windows that almost gave the room a complete panoramic view of the mountains and beach at the same time.

I stood at the window gazing out at the breathtaking scenery before me as he walked behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"It's really beautiful. Mom and Dad added this room when the twins got too big to share. Of course being the oldest I got first Dibs." His breath was tickling my ear as he spoke, sending a shiver down my body.

"It's like being in a dream." I smiled. Honestly it was a dream. Standing here on this beautiful island paradise, the boy I loved dearly by my side was better than I had ever pictured.

Riley turned me to face him, cupping my face with his hands before pressing his lips to mine, soft, sweet and delicate, before resting his forehead on mine.

"We should unpack, mom said today we are just going to relax so we can do whatever you want to do." He breathed, the air electric.
"Mhmm." I gasped closing my eyes.

He chuckled as he pressed a soft kiss to my forehead before pulling away. I opened my eyes, missing the feel of him close to me, as I walked to my suitcase and began hanging my clothes in his closet.

It was strange seeing his clothes next to mine, especially when I put my underwear in his dresser. In a way it was also new and exciting. I didn't want to admit it out loud, but I was more than happy to finally be living with him, even if it was only for a week.

A perfect week of nothing but us. Well us and our crazy families.
