"He doesn't deserve you. You've spent months waiting for him to come back and he hasn't."
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"I want you to see how much you deserve more than this!" He motioned with his hands. "It's not just you that you need to think about anymore!"
"Don't you think I know that!" The tears slipped, hot, frustrated as I turned away from him.
He took a step towards me and cupped my face with his hands. "I'm sorry." I leaned into his hands as he pulled me into a soft hug. His heart beat quickened under my ear as I held him tighter.
Maybe he was right? Maybe I needed to give myself a chance at a fresh start.
