The rest of the vacation flew by in a blue of family themed events. There was a boating trip out on the ocean, jet skiing, and an impromptu shopping trip with all the females which clearly involved eating questionable mall food. The night before the last day, after we had returned from the mall and the guys were back from the typical male fishing trip was when the first wave of vomiting hit.
Riley had stayed with me rubbing my back until I was done and carried me to bed.
"Why is it always me that gets sick on vacation?" I groaned as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled my back closer to his chest. "I swear I'm only eating food from home next year!"
"I don't think we are coming next year? I mean with everyone growing up my dad had mentioned that they may skip it and just our parents go." He said.
"Oh?" I sighed. As much as it has been awkward, including the blow out last year, I really do enjoy that our families combined vacations. Not only for Riley either, but it's fun to see my big goofy brother playing in the sand with the twins, or to watch our parents relaxing and enjoying themselves.
"Don't worry, our vacation isn't over yet? Or did you forget about those tickets I gave you." He whispered as my eyes widened and I turned to face him.
"Shit! You mean?" I began as he smiled and kissed my lips.
"Yeah, it's booked for this next week so we can leave from here and cut five hours off our travel time!"
"I love you!" I rolled on top of him and kissed him uncontrollably rocking my hips against his groin.
"Mmm" he groaned "I love you." He breathed before rolling us over so that he straddled my waist.
"Prove it!" I teased as a flash of challenge reflected from his eyes.
I didn't have time to react after that as his lips crashed against mine, our bodies moving in synchronization with each other as the world became a dream like place where we were the only people left in it.
As fate would have it Disney was not in the cards for us. I woke up feeling more sick than I had felt the previous evening and as a result Riley had decided that we should go home against my protesting that I would be fine.
I had been dying to go to Disney, but since I couldn't even eat bread without my stomach turning in knots Riley had taken it upon himself to give the tickets to Levi and Grace. Apparently they were non refundable and he didn't want to waste them.
I would have been okay with it but I felt better and better as the day went on, unfortunately Levi and Grace had already left by then.
We left about an hour later, trying to avoid the evening traffic when we got closer to the bigger cities like Columbia, which was always a nightmare to drive through.
I still couldn't eat much as Riley stopped to grab lunch at a drive through and it didn't really make sense that I was sick since Anna had eaten the same thing I did at the mall and she wasn't sick.
I didn't have time to think too much into it when the smell of Riley's burger from McDonalds hit my nose and another wave of nausea flared in my stomach.
I didn't want to say anything, especially since I knew he was hungry, but I couldn't stand the smell. Instead of ruining his lunch I rolled the window down slightly, letting the ventilation draw out the smell.
I don't know when it happened but I must have fallen asleep because when my eyes opened Riley was carrying me into the house and laying me down on our bed.
