onight was the night of my daughter's first prom. She's a sophomore, but last year she got sick and couldn't go. So, this year her and her boyfriend are going. And my son, who's a junior is going with a bunch of his friends.

"Mom, I don't know which dress to wear."
"Sweetheart, they're both red."
"I know. But I don't know if I like the one with the black more, or the one with the sparkles.
"Tatum, I think you should wear the one with the black. Let's be honest, sparkle isn't your thing."
"Okay. I'm gonna go change."
"Then I'll get everything for your makeup and hair, okay?"
"Yeah. Sounds good."

*Time skip brought to you by, I have no idea how to do hair and makeup*

I was downstairs with Kio, Axel, my first born, and Jackson, my youngest.
Axel was getting fidgety because his sister was taking too long.
"Mom, can't you tell her to hurry."
"Axel, she's almost ready. Just wait."
"Babe. Maybe you should go check on her." Kio said looking at me.
"Fine. I'll be right back."

I walked upstairs and seen Tatum on her bed. She was all dressed up and ready, but she didn't look herself.
"Hey." I said knocking.
"Hey Mom."
"Your brother is getting very impatient."
"Tell him I'll be down in a minute."
"Okay, what's up?"
"What? N-nothing."
I closed the door and sat on the edge of the bed next to my daughter.
"Tell me what's bothering you."
"Mom. I-I think I'm ready."
"For what?"
"You know."
"Oh. Are you sure?"
"Yeah. I mean, me and Devon have been going out for a while now, and I really like him. And I trust him. I think it's the least I could do."
"Are you doing it because you're ready, or because you feel like you owe it to him?"
"No, no, I'm ready.
"Then, I don't see a problem with it."
"Thanks Mom."
"That's what I'm here for. So, let's get you to your prom."

We walked downstairs and all the boys turned their heads towards the stairs.
