We lay down as you hold my waist
The look in your eyes says we need a getaway
We did that night with no hesitation
Not gone for long when all we needed was a day
To get away from our worries
To get away from the things we are afraid of
Feeling so carefree
No heavyweights on our shoulders
Expectations are invalid
Missing this feeling as a kid
The mind was never full of voices
No headaches from overthinking
Living in the moment was all we did
Our getaway was needed
Did so much we won't remember a thing
But the feeling won't be lost
Nightmares aren't a thing
When we are alone like this
Slept good for the first time in a long time
We dreamed to tell it in the morning sun
