PUPPY LOVE

I turn over to you asleep
With a frown on your face
As I caress your cheek
You move away
I take a deep breathe
Things never changed
Made you breakfast in bed
Didn't eat it
You were up and ready to go out the door
I pleaded with my eyes for you stay
Before you left I said I love you
I always meant it and in return
A smirk and shoulder bump passed me

Made dinner for the two of us
You came home with flowers
A kiss on your cheek to smell perfume on your clothes
We sat down and ate
No words from the both of us
The night went longer and you held my hand
You said I was the only one
I blushed and said I love you
For you to say I know

We went to bed on separate ends
Until you draped your arm over my waist
I went to your side and cuddled closer
The soft brushes on my side made me at ease
Thinking I was too attached to someone
Who doesn't feel the same
But if this is love then my vision is correct
As we went to sleep peacefully
