the time keeps on ticking
no more slowing it down for us

Our story ended a while ago
everything happened fast
like a wave crashing down to the shore
We didn't see it coming and for that, we got hit hard
I can't go another night without you next to me
I wear your old shirt while I'm tangled in the sheets
imaging your arms around me to help me ease
it gets old after time and it doesn't feel real
I know it's a lot to ask but can you hold me?
you can untangle from me and leave early in the morning
no kiss on the cheek or I love you afterward
I just want to feel your touch one last time before I let you go for good
Once I let you go so will the aftermath I fear of going on without you
So I ask would you be my dream catcher for the night?
