I didn't know it would hurt this much
crying on the bedroom floor
ripping memories that were kept in a treasure chest
that couldn't be open without a key
I wanted to keep it buried for a long time
cause I had high hopes for you and me
I wanted to feel something real that only we could feel
I didn't prepare myself for the aftermath of our parting
now adding fuel to the flames in hopes the feeling would go away
since I'll be left with nothing of yours to hold onto
