Don't look my way
You'll regret asking for my name
It will follow by the exchange of numbers
Whatever happens next will become history
I would not be prepared for the timing
It would become selfish and self-pity
Told myself to let it flow
Life is full of surprises so take each step slowly, walk with caution and care
Presented was a box with a lock
missing a key to unlock all
Somehow you found the key that was hidden
To reveal a treasure of such worthy
My heart was bigger then I thought
Showed the skeletons in my closet
You didn't run or hide but you grabbed my hand tightly
I knew then you will be the one to rescue me
I went along for the ride to be saved
I guess that was a big mistake
you slipped through my tips
So effortlessly I couldn't complain
Blinded by a dream that I wanted to become real
Soaked in lies that were true in my eyes
Wished you would've walked past by me
Now it will be a memory that my mind will remember when I don't want it to
No one ever stays long
Don't know if I'll be fine afterward
It may get worse than I can imagine
The way you walked in
You walked out the same way
Nothing mattered to you
Like the way, I felt then nor now
All I can do is let go of someone who didn't care
