GREY, BLUE AND YOU

The sky is starting to match my mood
Letting the grey overtake the blue
I light a cigarette to feel good
You always told me it's bad for me
But you are not here
I watch the smoke let out and disappear
Like you did
Turning the dial to hear a song
That puts me in a trance
While driving past the trees
I see images all around of you
As I get deeper so does the feelings
Every stop light I am confused
Every green light the memories go from past to present
When time passes feelings should fade
I wonder why mines didn't
I see the sulking didn't work
What else am I suppose to do?
I ended things the wrong way
You never left
I made you leave
I was hoping you would've fought to stay
I guess you got tired of my old ways
And silently said goodbye the next day
The time machine ends and so do we
As your voice on the radio soothes me
I always knew you were made for greatness
Both corners of my mouth turn upwards
No more grey but blue and sunny
