When you look at me
I remember how we met
It takes me back to that time
When I drown in your brown eyes
Forgetting you were talking
From then on it was the calm before the storm
We didn't see it coming and we weren't ready
We went under for shelter but the storm was too much to handle
Tried to find a new way to escape
There was no where else to go
We held each other keeping promises until we had to part ways
Hoping the promises doesn't expire
The time moves fast when you get older
People change like the seasons
Things become it is what it is
We aren't complete strangers just strangers who used to love
Sometimes we get caught in spare of the moment
Maybe we weren't right all along
Maybe the timing was just off
But we didn't last long
In the end that was us
