Chapter 4

Reader POV
I met with Hange one of the commanders and asked her to borrow something, for science.

  Of course she agreed. She gave it to me just before she set off. I didn't ask her where she was going incase it was something I wasn't allowed to know. I think Hange mentioned something about Eren so that must be where she was headed.

I was spending a lot more time with Jean, Connie and Sasha. They were a very fun group of people and I enjoyed spending time with them.

  Tonight we were getting rid of all the bodies from the last mission. We watched them all get put into a fire. I didn't know who's bones were who's, it's was horrific. I pulled Jean out after everyone had gone to bed. "What?" He asked clearly confused. I pulled him to a fire pit I had made earlier on. "I have to show you something." I answered. I made him sit down and started to tell him something I noticed. "Jean when we found... Marcos you know, I noticed something." I said. He looked at me "What? I don't understand." He sighed. I made him take a closer look at Marcos body. "Marco has no ODM gear on, I don't think that Titans are pro-chefs." I whispered to him. He let out a sort of laugh. "What are you saying here." In a bit more seriously tone of voice.

"Someone must have taken the ODM gear of him and sent him into the Titans mouth." I told him. "Because he knew something that no one else knew.." Jean continued. We looked at each other.

  "Jean, I decided I'm going to join the scouts." I said to him. "I am as well." My eyes opened "Why you really should go for the military police, in the safety of the walls." I tried to convince him not to join. "Look I'm doing it because of Marco." We faced the fire the warm breeze brushing against our face. "I know I really shouldn't be saying this but I am kinda glad." I mumbled. "Just don't die, ok?" I whispered. He nodded his head "I won't,"

Time skip to the expedition outside the walls.

We planed to head out on an expedition outside the safety of the walls. I was called along with Reiner and Bertholdt to prepare the horses. Bertholdt and Reiner were nice they were amazing with ODM gear as well. We talked while putting on the horses tack. We set out on our horses with full ODM gear. I was out in a secure position where there wasn't going to be any Titans. I know who did that anyway. Just before we rode out I saw Petra and Oluo. I ran over to them "Hey guys, it's been a while." I smiled. Of course Petra was the first to come over to me. "Hey, Y/n I missed you!" She said cheerfully. "Y/n how's the training coming along." Oluo called over. I laughed a bit "It's great." We talked for a while until I realised that Levi was behind me. "I gotta go, Levi's over there I wanna go say hi." I smiled at them both.

"Goodbye Y/n." Petra smiled at me. I walked towards Levi. "Levi!" I called him over. He slowly walked over to me. "How's the squad?" I asked. He looked at me the same boring expression on his face. "Good," we also talked for a while. "I have to go back over to the horses but don't get yourself killed." I giggled. He nodded and answered quickly "watch yourself as well." We separated ways and walked away. We rode out on our horses. Through the fallen city and a load of Titans. We split out I was one of the people with a spare horse so it was a bit difficult to manoeuvre with.
