Chapter 27

Reader POV (really long chapter)

Levi came up behind me and asked me if I was alright. "I'm fine," I answered looking out at the Titans. They were staying in line not moving around much. It was like they were all being controlled. I looked down at my hip and ripped up my cloak. I tied it around tightly. I didn't have a cloak but the pain wasn't as bad anymore.

Hange and Levi squad were told to take down the armoured Titan. I rushed down and stood on a rooftop. Reiner crouched on top of the wall. Eren transformed and started running. Of course as planned Reiner followed Eren. Eren and Reiner fought in the middle of the town.

I stood beside Mikasa with a thunder spear in hand. We were going to take him down then take Bertholdt down and take back this town. Eren looked like he was winning but you could never tell until the end. Eren just got flung over Reiner's shoulder. We watched and waited for the perfect moment to attack.

I held my hand on my hip making sure that the piece of cloth wasn't going to move. Just as Reiner stopped moving we attacked. We went in with out thunder spears. Mikasa and Hange went in first blinding him. I waited for Jean Connie and Sasha to do their part. His nape was clear so I went in again. My thunder spear was in and I landed on a nearby house. I pulled out the string and watched as it exploded. It worked!

But was this really all we needed to beat him? I rushed back to Erens Titan and stood on his shoulder. I held onto his hair to keep my balance. He wasn't exactly easy to stand on.

I stayed beside him keeping an eye out for Bertholdt. Just then I heard a loud shrieking from Reiner. I looked around but I wasn't sure what the shriek was for but then I saw a barrel coming towards us. I held on to Eren as he ran.

I watched from Eren's shoulder as Armintried to talk to Bertholdt in the end it did nothing. I hid in Eren's hair as the colossal Titan transformed. The breeze was hard and warm but behind Eren I wasn't injured that badly from the heat.

We watched as Bertholdt flung houses on fire around us. In the end Armin couldn't make the decision and left it to Jean. We made it to the river and talked it over. Eren would distract Bertholdt and we would take him down like that. We split up and let Eren take him down.

Eren did nothing. Eren got flung up to the top of the wall. I looked up at Bertholdt then back at Eren. We attack him straight up. Going at his face and trying to keep a hold on him. Bertholdt started to let his warm gas out. Our ODM gear wouldn't hold on him. As we regrouped a house got knocked down. It was Reiner.

In the end Armin and I went up to Eren leaving the others to deal with Reiner. When we made it up the wall Eren was knocked out. He wasn't moving at all but he was dead. I looked out just at that moment and saw the beast Titan throwing rocks at hundreds of soldiers. I put my hand up to my mouth covering it. It was practically a suicide mission.

I tried to take my mind of it and wake Eren up. I stuck a blade in and started talking to him. Then I remembered something Armin used to tell him all the time. "Aren't you not going to see the sea. You promised Armin didn't you?" I shouted in. Armin was making a plan behind me but still listening in. "Eren aren't you going to take down all of the Titans?" I kept going. "WAKE UP YEAGER WOULD YOU!" I screamed getting louder. Bertholdt was getting closer and closer.

He finally got up and started moving again. Armin told us his plan and I listened in. Eren and Armin would serve as a distraction. "He doesn't know I'm here does he." I told him. "No let's use that as an advantage." He said. As Eren hopped down from the wall I followed him. As if I wasn't there. He didn't notice me at all and kept his focus on Armin. Bertholdt started to let out his heat smoke. Eren was on the floor and I was heading for his nape. His heat was strong so once or twice my ODM gear came out and I was knocked to the floor.

My injuries were getting worse and worse but I had to keep fighting. Armin and Eren had just trusted their lives to me. I kept on trying and trying until eventually I got a good grip. I got closer and closer until I was right beside him. I pushed forward then back then forward again. I came up close to him and pulled out my blades. I sliced once then twice cutting his entire nape of. He stopped letting the smoke out and I fell back. I rushed towards Bertholdt and put up the bottom of my blades. I bashed his head making him get knocked out. I pulled him towards the wall. Armin was burnt to a crisp so I ran up to him. I felt tears pour out of my eyes. "No no no no, ARMIN!" I cried out. Then I turned my head and saw Eren down at the bottom of the wall. I grabbed Armin and Bertholdt and jumped of the wall heading for one of the nearby houses. I put them both down and looked over at Eren. By now tears were all over my face and I was finding it hard to move. I had taken my mind of my injuries pretending they weren't there but it hurt even more now.
