"Come on, you think I don't tell my friends at school all about my amazingly talented friend, Kurt Hummel?"

Blaine, Kurt, Santana and Rachel and I sat in a booth together at a cafe in upper Manhattan, catching up. I was kind of zoned out of the conversation, fiddling with my engagement ring as I wondered what to do with it when I was married.
"Hey, do any of you guys want to catch a matinee tomorrow?" Kurt asked, I lifted my head to look at him, joining back into the conversation. "I have a late shift at the diner and I know Funny Girl is dark."
"Uh, 'dark' as in there are no performances, or 'dark' as in it's kind of a downer?" Santana asked snidely. She had died her hair blonde and to be completely honest - she looked amazing.
"Oh, my word." Rachel mumbled to herself.
"I'm sorry, I - I would love to go, but June's got me taken up with dinners and rehearsals..." Blaine trailed off, shaking his head apologetically.
"Yeah, I know, count me out - I'm gonna be in the recording studio all day." Santana said, shrugging her shoulders.
"I might be able to come, I have a paper due on Monday but if i pull an all-nighter then I may be able to come." I said, smiling softly at Kurt before taking a sip of my milkshake.
"This is terrible - look what I just found on Broadwaybuzzard.com." Rachel said, sliding her phone across the table to Blaine. He picked it up but before he could read anything off of it Santana snatched it out of his hand.
"I'll take that. 'Blind Item! Liar, Liar Fanny on Fire'!" Santana read out loudly, ignoring Rachel's attempts to shush her. "'What Broadway starlet has been calling in sick while secretly pursuing other job opportunities? Unnamed sources say producers are none too happy with the burgeoning diva's shenanigans, and wager that this starlet will burn out faster than you can say Milwaukee Dinner Theatre in the Round'!"
"I missed one show." Rachel said frustratedly.
"Rachel, you should actually be glad that they don't know you're seriously considering leaving your show to do a TV pilot." Blaine pointed out.
"Yeah, you could get - what's the word? Blackballed! You could get blackballed from Broadway." I exclaimed, raising my eyebrows at her.
"This is terrible, okay? I cannot be branded a problem child this early in my career. I - I might be ambitious, but I'm not a bad person." She ranted worriedly.
"You can't expect total strangers to know exactly who you are. I mean, look at Angelina Jolie - she used to be that girl with the vial of blood around her neck who liked kissing her brother, and now she's Mother Earth. Or, we can look at our own little Carrot-top here, on the outside she's all sweet and spice and everything nice, but once you really get to know her - you can see how feisty she is." Santana said, gesturing over to me. I picked up my fork and pointed it in Rachel's face.
"Don't mess with me." I said, trying to be intimidating but i ended up just making myself, Santana, Kurt and Blaine chuckle.
"Wait - wait, back to Angelina Jolie...how'd she do it?" Rachel asked.
"Two things - publicist and a cause." Santana explained.
"She can't afford a publicist." Blaine pointed out.
"And I've always been my cause." Rachel practically shouted.
"Inside voice, honey." Kurt scolded in a motherly fashion.
"Sorry." Rachel whispered.
"Well, you don't need a publicist when you've got Snixx on your side. If there's one thing I know about, it's cultivating an image. In high school, I was a huge bitch, but also most popular. I was voted Best Shoulder to Cry On and Most Likely to Poison Someone." Santana said with a smirk on her face.
