"The Rachel Berry I know would never let them win. She's the only who can win."

Everybody was at Rachel and Kurt's for our Monday night potluck dinner. We ordered pizza and were setting it up in the front room when someone knocked on the door. Kurt went and answered the door, revealing a smiling Tina.
"Tina!" Kurt exclaimed fondly as he greeted her with a hug.
"Hi." She said, quickly greeting Kurt before walking into the apartment properly. "Hello, big fat Broadway star." i jumped up from where i sat and hugged Tina quickly as Rachel made her way over to Tina.
"I've missed you." I said, giving her one more quick squeeze before allowing Rachel to say 'hi'.
"These are for you." She said to Rachel handing her a potted flower. Rachel mouthed her gratitude, which confused and worried Tina. "Oh, no. Do you have laryngitis?"
"Oh, no, she's just resting her voice." Kurt explained quickly.
"Oh, thank God. This would not be a good time for your tonsils to flare up again. Remember that? First year of Glee Club? Hey, where is everyone? Rachel's opening night on Broadway is a big deal. And where's Artie? I was hoping to get to see him." Tina said and I could see the freaked out expression on Rachel's face.
"Oh, his short film Bags in the Wind got accepted into the Ft. Lauderdale International Short Film Festival." Kurt explained as I got up and took Tina's coat and bag from her.
"Oh, that's too bad. I mean, what about Quinn and Puck and Santana? I mean, are they just not being supportive?" Tina asked, unintentionally freaking out Rachel more. I sat back down beside Blaine and shared an unsurprised look with him.
"Tina!" Mercedes said suddenly, trying to stop Tina from freaking out Rachel even more. "Why don't you catch us up? How's Brown University treating you?"
"Ah, I love everything about it. Except for my dorm room. My roommate... she's nice... but she's from Pakistan and she speaks almost no English and she's always watching that Al Jazeera channel. And, no, I don't have a boyfriend, but I was dating this really nice guy, but he turned out to be..."
"Gay." Everyone chorused with the exception of Kurt who said 'Homosexual'
"No. Yes." Tina said, everyone chuckled to themselves as Tina sat down and we all dug into our food. "Anyway...Rachel, I read this amazing story about you on BroadwayWorld.com, and they are predicting that Funny Girl is gonna be a huge hit. And so is everybody else, - except for a few moronic bloggers." My head snapped up and I tried to reach out to Tina and get her to shut up, but it didn't work.
"Hey - hey Tina?" I called out trying to get her attention but it wasn't working. "Blaine, help me."
"But, I mean, who are they to call you pitchy?" Tina carried on as if Blaine and I weren't trying to get her attention.
"Let's go get an iced mocha." Blaine said, trying to ease her out of the chair. I tried to help him but it was no use.
"And do not get me started on those anonymous comment trolls. I mean, that..you are not that short."
"Shut up." Blaine, Sam and I all said together, finally getting her to stop. Everyone was silent for a second as Tina realised what she had done. We were all sat on the edge of our seats as we waited to see Rachel's reaction.
"It's fine. It's fine." Rachel said, she was very obviously faking serenity. "Frankly, the only opinions that I care about are you guys. And I love you guys and you love me. So, you know, if I ever need any validation, I just...turn to my buffet of people right in front of me. If you don't mind, I am going to take a nap. this diva needs her beauty rest. So..." Rachel gto up and left the room, her fake smile plastered on her face until she left the room.
