"Why have a puppet when you have the real deal right here?"

Everyone was goofing off in the choir room as we waited for Mr. Schue - who was late again. Blaine wasn't there either, which was strange because he was usually one of the first ones there but instead of worrying about his whereabouts I waltzed around the choir room with Kitty and Ryder as Tina played the drums. Unique and Marley were doing weird vocal warm ups and Jake and Sam were playing around with harmonicas and guitars.

"Hey, um, guys!" Blaine shouted, as he walked into the choir room but no one listened so he kept shouting until he got our attention "Guys... New Directions! New Directions! Guys! Hey!"

"Everybody, shut up!" I shouted, getting everyone to calm down. Blaine smiled appreciatively at me and continued talking.

"Thank you, Kara. I just ran into Mr. Schue, and he's gonna be stuck in his classroom for the rest of the afternoon because of some school board inspection thing, but he still wanted us to meet so we can start working on ideas for nationals." Blaine said and suddenly the class erupted into noise again as everyone started chattering about what they wanted to do.

"We have to do Blur, I can't believe we still haven't done Blur!" I exclaimed, grabbing Kitty's hands.

"Yes! Blur or Marilyn Manson!" She said, squeezing my hands.

"This is anarchy! We can't... we can't all just shout at the same time." Blaine shouted again, calming everyone down. "That's better. I have some ideas already. I'm thinking that the music needs to be really simple, so we can really highlight our voices. No guitars, or nothing electronic. We go with a simple piano arrangement. Which I could play."

"I'm assuming you're singing lead?" Kitty asked, raising her eyebrows at my fiancé.

"Well, I am a senior, and this is my last go at it. We need to win this." Blaine said, smiling confidently.

"Excuse me, I'm a senior too, why can't i sing lead?" I asked, putting my hand up.

"Well, feels like North Korea up in here." Tina said, staring pointedly at Blaine.

"Okay, forget the piano. Forget all the music. We could just do, um, a cappella, that always works." Blaine suggested and I frowned at him, that was the Warblers thing - not ours.

"Déjà Warblers. Should we wear matching blazers, too?" Unique asked sassily

"Let's take it back... What was wrong with the guitars?" Sam asked.

"Nothing, why can't you guys just stop resisting me for a second, and just go with me?" Blaine said, getting distressed.

"Okay, Blaine Jong-Il." Tina said, making everybody laugh and agree with Tina. Blaine sighed, pointing his finger at Tina.

"I am not trying to be bossy. I am trying to give the benefit of my experience. I have won more show choir competitions than anyone in this room." Blaine said, gesturing around the room.

"You suck." Ryder said, covering it up with a cough as everyone's jaws dropped. I sighed as everyone got angry and went up to him, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"Blaine, do you remember what Kurt said? You need to make sure everyone's voice is heard? You may not be trying to be bossy, but you kind of are being...a dictator." I said slowly. His own jaw dropped and he pulled away from me. I rolled my eyes as Kitty pulled me back to her side.

"Acapella is worth a shot. Let's do it." Jake said, standing up and trying to stop the arguing.

"Then you two can have fun in your little barbershop couplet while the rest of us discuss something good." Unique said, waving the two boys off.
