"You are the most fabulous, beautiful and important person in my life."

Everyone was in the choir room, decorating it as merrily as possible, with a massive Christmas tree, present covering the piano, tinsel, lights and stockings everywhere. It was a joyful time and I couldn't of been happier - well maybe I could've been if my parents were going to be in town for Christmas. They had been home for all of three days before being called away again. But I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and Blaine scooped me up, his arm around my waist and my knees, spinning my around.

"So." Blaine said, closing my locker. "What does my lovely girlfriend want for Christmas?"
"Parents that actually care about me." I muttered bitterly under my breath. Tucking my books into my arms.
"What was that, love?" He asked, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"I said, I don't mind - whatever you think I'll like." I said, smiling softly up at him.
"Kara, I know that is not what you said." He said, raising an eyebrow at me as we walked outside into the courtyard. I sighed as we sat down at a table, he took one of my hands in his and used his free hand to cup my face. "You can tell me anything, you know?"
"I know, I know. It's just, my parents - they're away for Christmas this year. They were away for Sectionals, they were away for my 16th birthday, they were away when I had a photography exhibition at my old school, they were even away Laurie gave birth to pretty much all of her kids. Ever since Lauren was old enough to look after me by herself, they've just never been around. So what I said was, what I want for Christmas is for my parents to actually care about me more than their stupid jobs." I said frustratedly, gently easing his hand off my face as I felt tears come to my eyes. I quickly wiped them away and sniffled quietly. "I'm just being stupid, some people don't even have parents I shouldn't be complaining. Just me being my overdramatic self as usual."
"It's not stupid, Kara. You deserve to have your parents there when you want or need them. You have a right to complain, your parents aren't being good parents." Blaine said, rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand comfortingly. I smiled softly, looking down at our joined hands. "If it makes you feel any better, my parents are away this Christmas too, and I am not spending it with my older brother, so why don't we spend it together this year. Just the two of us?" I looked up and saw the genuine smile on his face, finding myself nodding my head in agreement.
"Yeah, okay. That sounds nice." I said. He untangled his hand from mine and cupped my face with both hands, pulling me in for a kiss.

The choir room really did look amazing with all the decorations. It just had such a cheerful aura around it with the Christmas tree standing tall in the corner and the reefs hung everywhere. Santana, Mercedes, Rachel and I couldn't help but stand in front of the tree, admiring it.
"We might have spent our entire decorating budget for the whole year, but with something that looks as absolutely fabulous as this, I have to say, brav-ho-ho-ho." Rachel said, staring up at the tree in adoration. I smiled, putting my arm around Rachel and squeezing her kindly. I went back to my seat as Blaine and Kurt arrived with the rest of the group.
