Satvik's POV:

After parking my car, I walked inside the huge building that stood in front of me. Sareen Publishing House is a six storey building with mirrored glass and a large S placed on the front.

Everyone who I met on my way to the reception, greeted me with a smile and I greeted them back.

On reaching the reception, the receptionist who was then talking to someone on call, saw me and stood up in an instant. She was a woman in her thirties.
She hung up the call and kept the receiver back on the telephone.

"Good morning, Sir!" She greeted me with a bright smile.

"Good morning, Neha Di!.... And please don't be so formal!... Call me by my name, just like you used to!... How are you!?" I said.

"Oh.. I'm totally fine!... What about you!?" She replied.

"I am good too! Thanks!"

"By the way, after a long time huh!.." She questioned.

"Yeah!... You know, how dad is no!.. He doesn't let's me come!... Your time will come.... It's not your age to work!... Enjoy your life!... That's all he says!" I told her.

She grinned at me, showing off her perfect white teeth. "That's because, he loves you a lot.... You are very lucky to have a father like him!"

I could not help but smile at her words. "Indeed!.. And, I love him a lot too!" I said making her smile grow bigger.

"Can I see him!?" I asked.

"Sure, but not right now, he's in a meeting!.. But he'll be free in half an hour... So, you can wait in his office!" She replied.

"Okay!.. Thank you!" I nodded my head.

"Your most welcome!.... " She replied. "Umm... This way!"

"No, no, no!... There is no need for you to come with me!... You please continue with your work!... I'll go by myself!" I said as I saw her walking out of her desk to accompany me.

"You sure?.. Okay then, I'm sending coffee!" She said before I left.

As I made my way upstairs, sixth floor, to my dad's office, a message chimed on my phone. I took the phone out of my jeans pocket and found that I had received a lot of messages on the unofficial college whatsapp group.

Two students of our class had gotten into an argument and it was so amusing to read their messages. As I entered dad's office, I kept smiling amusingly while reading the messages. I stood near the sofa in my dad's office and shook my head before keeping the phone back in my pocket.

I sat on the sofa and started looking around. Nothing had changed, everything was just same as I saw the last time I visited dad's office.

I took a sigh as I saw our family photos hanging on the wall and that's when I realized something. As I breathed in, a familiar scent entered my nose. I could not be wrong, it's her. All it takes is one scent to bring back a thousand memories. And, that's exactly what's happening with me, right now.

It took me this long to realize that Yashvi's phone and her small side bag had been lying on the corner of the table in front of me.

Before I could even react, the door of the bathroom was pulled open and there she was. She looked at me, surprise written all over her face.

It has been twenty minutes since I came here. The room has been dead silent and only the ticking sound of the wall clock could be heard.

I and Yashvi were sitting on the ends of the L-shaped sofa. I would glance at her from time to time while doing nothing whereas she was busy reading some magazine.

She didn't spoke a single word and didn't even greeted me.

'Shit, this is so weird!', I thought.

Yashvi's POV:

I looked up from my magazine and found Satvik frowning.

'What is wrong with me!? I should have at least greeted him! Shit, I was never like this!... Where did your manners go, Yashvi!? I know you are trying to make him not fall for you again but isn't this too much! You are being too rude! Come on, now just say hi!.. Okay fine, just say good morning! Just a good morning won't kill you!', I thought.

I looked up at Satvik who was now looking towards the door, probably wishing for dad to come soon. For a moment, I couldn't help but admire how good he looked in a white T-shirt and black jeans.

I took a deep sigh silently and said making him look at me, "Hi.... Good morning!"

He quickly looked towards me and gave a confused look. "Me?!"

"Uh.. huh!" I said while nodding very weirdly.

'Shit! What are you doing!?... This is so embarrassing!'

Suddenly, I felt like the silence was much better. Well, he did not make things any better by not saying anything. I felt so stupid and started cursing myself in my mind when he suddenly said, "It's actually, afternoon,"

I looked up at him and then blinked once before looking at the wall clock. It said 12:15 p.m. "Well... Good afternoon, then," I said looking back at him.

"Good afternoon," he said with a slight nod.

And, with that we both started staring into each others eyes so intently. I so really wanted to hug him, kiss him.... talk to him. I wanted to tell him how much I have missed him. I wanted to tell him how was my day and wanted to ask him how was his day.

I felt like just breaking all the rules and telling him how much I love him and how much he means to me. I wanted to hear from him that he loves me too, but this was all I wanted....you can't always do what you want right?

I know that it is not possible, at least not in this lifetime.
