"Carl, could you check my schedule today please? I am not feeling well." I told Carl via phone call.

"Nothing important is scheduled today, ma'am. Do you want me to send some medicine or food po?" He asked worriedly.

"No, Carl. I appreciate it. Thank you." I said before reminding him some things and turning the phone call off.

Last night, after the party, Gino picked Francine up while Iñigo and Rico persuaded me and Cy to 'continue the fun' in some exclusive club. The two boys ended up a little tipsy that's why me and Cyreen had no choice but to help the two return home safely. Cy drank a little as well, pero in moderation compared to the two.

It ended up having me take assistance for Iñigo and Cy for Rico. I had to go home at three am which made me feel a little sick this morning.

After I told Carl that I wasn't feeling well, tumawag naman sa akin si Francine asking for the designs she was asking for yesterday. I felt shy that I forgot to give it to her yesterday because Sydney came unexpectedly so I told Francine to drop by my unit since nasa kabilang tower lang naman siya.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked with worried eyes as soon as I opened the door for her.

"Yeah." Matamlay kong tugon. "I just need to rest."

I offered her to stay for breakfast dahil mukhang hindi pa ito kumakain. We just talked about work and she reminded me to get well fast because there's a lot of pending projects on my table right now. The thought of it made me even more sick. But she's right. There are days where even getting sick is not allowed.

I was about to send her out when the buzzer rang on cue. I opened the door and to my surprise, Sydney appeared in front of me.

I looked at Francine who was shocked too but is just simply smiling at Sydney.

"Oh hi, Sydney!" She greeted Sydney with glee.

Sydney only nodded once and smiled a bit out of respect.

Francine felt the need to excuse herself immediately kaya naman agad na itong lumingon sa akin para makapagpaalam.

"Sam, I'll go ahead." She said and excused herself.

I nodded at her and watched her walk away.

I turned to Sydney and looked at her with furrowed brows.

"What brings you here?" I asked.

"Your wound." Her words are what I exactly expected.

I already told her to stop seeing me everyday because I'm fine! What is wrong with this woman?

I scoffed sarcastically. "I told you. It's getting better."

She tilted her head a bit and scratched the back of her ear using her finger while I was talking. It was intended to make me feel like I was talking too much.

"Masyado pang maaga para sungitan mo 'ko, Samantha." She just looked at me straight in the eyes after she said that.

I sighed and moved to the side para makapasok siya. As much as I want to reiterate to her that I'm really fine and that she should not bother to come to me everyday, I don't have enough energy to argue with her. Talking to her when you know that she's just going to repel your words is draining.
