"Can I stay here for tonight?"

Wouldn't people talk about it? I don't want her to have an impression towards her employees. Baka hindi maganda ang isipin nila.

But then, ngayon lang naman. I don't want to turn her down after she cried hard, remembering all that happened before.

I moved away a little from her to see if my phone was really in the bed. I stood up when I saw my phone on the bedside table and I saw floods of notifications of emails and messages from different people.

Sydney called me fifteen times at different hours. I went back to sit with her again.

"Why were you calling me by the way?"

"I was about to ask you for dinner. But you were with somebody else." She looked away.

I held her hand. "I'm sorry.. Carrie and I bumped into each other once. I haven't seen her in so many years. Kaya nang yayain niya 'kong lumabas, pumayag agad ako." Paliwanag ko rito.

"Tss. I wish I was her. You never spent time with me as easy as her asking you out."

I flicked her forehead playfully at napapikit naman ito ng bahagya. "We're not friends. We're exes. Besides, you were the one who always rejects my simple gestures."

She furrowed her brows trying to recall what I said. "I did?"

I tilted my head and raised a brow at her.

"I'll take a shower at mag-aayos pa ako ng gamit."

I laughed even more. "Sabbie will get mad at me."

She pouted her lips like a child.

"We'll see each other in Manila. Or if not, babalik naman ako dito ulit sa susunod na buwan."

She pouted even more at what I said and looked at me in the eye like a puppy.

"Stop pouting.

She indeed stayed with me. After I showered, siya naman ang pumalit sa akin sa banyo. I then called the hotel receptionist to ask if they can still serve food. Sydney hasn't taken her dinner yet, she must be hungry.

I waited for her to finish bathing whilst waiting for the food to arrive. I lent her a loose shirt of mine dahil alam kong mas makakatulog siya ng maayos doon.

That day ended well. Sydney wanted us to walk around the vicinity after breakfast kaya naman pinagbigyan ko na ito.

I told Sydney not to drop me off the airport anymore but she insisted.

She was silent the whole ride towards the airport. I knew she was sad because I'm going home, pero I already told her na magkikita din naman kami ulit.
