I know that it's impossible.
She has a boyfriend.
That must've sounded too assuming, but I just want to ask as early as now. Kailangan kong maliwanagan. I have to know. Her actions are very confusing. We haven't seen each other for a very very long time so I can't read her mind. If there's something that offended her or made her mad, she should atleast let me know.
Umiwas ito ng tingin sa akin at itinuon ang mga mata sa sugat ko.
"Selos? Saan?" She asked.
I smirked fakely. It's good to know, that she doesn't have feelings for me anymore.
"Kay Francine. You sound like you're jealous." I jokingly said the last sentence para hindi ako magtunog assuming masyado.
She just laughed through her nose and shook her head without answering my question. I really wanted an answer for that, but in the end, I didn't bother asking her for it. Her actions say that she isn't anymore affected by me anyways.
When she was finished, I did my best to keep myself from asking her things that would make her reject me again. I was observing her while she was fixing her kit when I suddenly realized that I should tell her that I'm okay.
She doesn't have to feel guilty about the wound anymore because it was an accident. Afterall, that's the only reason why she was going here everyday. And I'm the one getting tired for her efforts. I appreciate that she's making up for it but I also do not want to be treated like some loan company.
"Sydney." I called her while she was fixing her things.
She glanced at me as she continued packing her things.
"You don't have to come here everyday. My wound is getting better. I appreciate your effort but I guess this is a bit too much." I said guiltily. Napahinto ito sa pagkilos.
"You don't want me here?" she asked in a low voice.
"It's not like that." I denied with a calm voice.
"Nakakaabala ba ako sa'yo?" nagsalubong ang kilay nito.
Umiling naman ako.
"Then why are you making me stop going here for your wound? You can't even bring yourself to the infirmary!" she hissed so bad and I felt guilty.
I sighed.
"I don't want to argue with you about this, okay? All I'm saying is, you don't have to feel too guilty about what happened. It's not your fault." saad ko habang pinipigilang pantayan ang inis sa tinig nito.
"I'm not..." She stopped and pressed her eyes close out of too much frustration, trying to keep herself calm. She didn't finish her sentence, instead, she grabbed her bag.
She's not...? What? She's not guilty?
"I'll go ahead." she said in a pissed manner and turned away from me.
She marched out of the room. I didn't want her to get offended but she just doesn't seem to get my thoughts clear. Ayaw niya akong intindihin.
I couldn't say anything.
Wow, surprise surprise, she lowkey rejected my idea again. Rejecting my suggestions and opinions is her hobby now, huh?
My whole day went bad because of that. If only I didn't have a party to attend, I wouldn't even bother talking to anyone. Rico got our tables reserved. Cyreen, Francine, Iñigo, Rico, Engineer Villamor and Engineer Uy were all in the table.
Iñigo was here because BFI was invited and he was sent to represent their company. The others are here, too, because some staff are privileged enough to join the party if their company allows them too. This is a semi-formal party for the birthday and engagement of the daughter of Arnold Tan, the owner of Tan Enterprises which is a huge shipping company.
