Chapter 22

I felt confused.

Hindi ko alam ang unang mararamdaman sa mga sinabi niya. He just announced we were dating, kahit hindi ko pa naman siya sinasasagot! Just, what the fuck is that?

"Oh... sorry, then. I thought you were single..." the guy shyly said and turned his back to walk away. I felt bad for him. Mukhang napahiya siya dahil sa inanunsyo ni Prince.

Binalik ko ang tingin kay Prince na halatang naiinis pa rin. Why is he that bothered? Baka nga, tama 'yung sinasabi nila e. Baka nilalandi niya lang ako para tikman. Imagine, we're not even together and we already reached that stage? Touching each other and kissing like that?

"We have to talk, later." I told Prince and returned to my seat. Nawalan na ako sa mood dahil sa mga narinig ko kanina.

Prince's brows furrowed before he came back to the court. Malapit na magsimula ang game, kaya tinatawag na siya ni Coach.

I saw Rie holding onto to the entrance of the bleachers, calling Prince. May hawak siyang bote na kinuha naman nito at hinawakan rin ang kamay niya. Rie grinned and kissed him in the cheek. Prince didn't react much and walked towards their bench.

Bumalik si Rie na may ngiti sa labi at tumabi uli kay Tria. Prince glanced at me again before he placed his bottle of water on top of his bag. I saw him sigh and started stretching.

I couldn't control the jealousy I feel, seeing him and Rie, together. It felt like a bitter taste in my tongue that's swallowing me whole. Gulong-gulo na ang isip ko at ayaw ko ng magulo pa ito. I should've expected this... hindi naman ata siya seryoso sa akin.

"I'm sure, feeling maganda na naman ang isa d'yan. She should be thankful that she has a nice body, kaya papatulan pa rin siya ni Prince." narinig ko ulit ang usapan ng mga seniors ko.

"Yep, I bet they did it na no? Malandi pa naman si girl. I'm sure she lured him to like her, to experience him too. Alam mo naman ang desperada?"

"Totally! Mukhang si Rie naman ang gusto ni Prince e. She's just another past time for him. Another girl to fool with," halakhak ni Berta at napalingon sa gawi namin. She smirked and shook her head.

Past time...

My lips trembled a bit and held my hands. Parang mas tanggap ko pa ang mga sinasabi nila noon na hindi naman daw ako magaling at puro yabang lang daw ako. But this? Damn it! Why is it that when it comes to Prince, nasasaktan ako ng sobra?

I felt like a fool again! Una, niloko ako ni Alex. He cheated on me. Ngayon naman si Prince?

"If there's anyone who's desperate here, hindi ba kayo 'yon? Ugly girls with ugly attitudes..." Hindi na napigilan ni Lacey ang mag-salita.

Lumingon silang tatlo sa amin.

"I'm sorry, are you talking to us?" Risa raised her brow and crossed her arms.

Lacey smirked. "I wasn't referring to anyone, but I guess if the shoe fits..."

Sinamaan nila ng tingin si Lacey at pati na rin ako. I looked down and couldn't focus on the game. Kakasimula palang ay wala na akong gana.

The game started. Lamang ang Monarch for the first few minutes, but Brierwell was able to catch up. Cairus is back in the game, after missing a few seasons.

My seniors kept cheering and shouting, habang ako... hindi man lang magawang gumalaw o ngumiti. Lacey brought a pen and doodled something on her notebook. Nakihingi na rin ako para magdrawing. I came to support Prince, but my energy dropped like a bomb.
