Olivia POV
Holy shit. I didn't expect him to agree to it. And why the fuck was he eating inside his car? This is going to be awesome! Goodbye bullies and bitches! And fuck you Mia, you're going to get a mental slap in the face with this one! I'm so exited.
I looked over at the overly awkward boy, and he wasn't that bad looking. He was more on the cute side than the masculine side, but he wasn't too bad. I wonder why nobody had thought to date this boy before? Wait, why am I just referring him to "this boy"? Oh, right, I never asked what his name was.
"Hey, what's your name anyway?" I asked.
"Noah" he said, it was a pretty cute name. I think I'm going to like this Noah kid.
He opened the car door and stepped outside, obviously ready to go back into the school building. I was about to open the door beside me but he'd already beat me to it. How chivalrous.
I stepped out and he closed the door, locking the car. He held his hand out towards me, I wasn't sure if he wanted a handshake or if he wanted a high five.
"are we going to hold hands or not?" he awkwardly said, looking at the ground. His hand was still held out in front of me.
Oh, that's what he was trying to do.
I placed his hand in mine and I started to drag him towards the building. This feels so uncomfortable. But it could be worse. When we got closer to the building I turned around to address him.
"are you ready?" I asked.
"yeah".
And with that, I dragged him into the building. People were already gossiping by their lockers, but their gazes soon fixed on us. I had to slow my pace so that Noah could catch up. Fucking slow poke. I could hear some of the whispers that followed us. And it made me happy.
"Aren't they gay?"
"Are they dating? I thought she was a lesbian"
"Isn't he that awkward gay kid?"
"there's no way their dating"
I gripped onto Noah tighter as I dragged him to my classroom but before I could give him a planned kiss on the cheek, the wicked witch of the west had made her presence known.
And yes, I'm talking about Mia.
"Hey Olivia, is this your boyfriend?" she asked. A hint of disbelief in her voice.
"Hello Miller, and yes, this is my boyfriend Noah" I kissed Noah on the cheek and the poor kid tried his best to not look awkward about it, it's safe to say he failed.
"Yeah, I don't belive that for a second" Mia said. Her words came out more like a challenge than a statement.
"And why's that?" my voice came out more accusive than necessary.
"Because nobody would ever date you, Olivia. Not a girl, or a boy". Her words were spiteful and I wanted to punch her right then, right there. But I decided to stay calm.
"Well Noah here is the one that asked me out, so I would take your words and shove them up your bum if I were you". If it wasn't for the fact that we were arguing, I would have laughed at my own words.
"prove it".
How the fuck was I supposed to prove it?!? I didn't want to kiss him and I sure as hell wasn't going to. Ew.
So instead, I made mistake number one.
"I've actually liked Noah for a while. He's always been so awkward but we've been friends since forever. I think I love him" I said. I mentally slapped myself before turning to Noah. He looked so confused.
I gave him a look that begged him to confirm my words and he seemed to understand.
"I love you too" he said, the awkward atmosphere that surrounded us was getting heavy. I was literally struggling to breathe.
"you have 60 days" Mia said. I turned to look at her, a questioning look clear on my face. "60 days to prove to the school that you're in love, and if you can't do that then we will know that you lied and then you'd be even more of a laughing stock."
Mistake number 2 was made when I agreed to her challenge.
Mia flipped her hair and walked inside the classroom. Leaving me and Noah standing there awkwardly.
"I'll meet you back in your car after school, we'll get through this" I think I was trying to convince myself more than him, but it seemed to have worked. He nodded and walked away from his class, and I entered my own.
Fuck.
