Noah POV
"Wake up princess" I heard Tyler whisper into the air, immediately waking me up from my uncomfortable sleep.
"Can I have some coffee?" I grumbled to which he just laughed at me, placing an already made coffee in front of me.
"Already got you covered" He winked, sending a light shade of pink to cover my cheeks.
"Thanks" I mumered, taking a sip of the coffee and feeling myself wake up a little more.
Tyler then turned away from me and began taking off his apron, alongside his shirt, and I had no shame in looking this time. I could only see his back, but even that was drowned in muscle. Well, not drowned like a body builder, but it was still very well defined. He flexed slightly as he lifted up his shirt, the broader layer of muscle straining briefly from his movements, his arms tensing as he raised the shirt over his head and dropping it carelessly on the wooden floor.
My eyes travelled a little lower and then landed on his lower region, he was wearing black skinny jeans and they made his curved, yet still muscular, butt look really nice. They fitted his shape well, hugging to his thighs and cheeks, I had to force myself to look away.
"Checking me out again?" he spoke, turning back around to face me, a teasing smirk outlining his facial features.
"Ha, you wish" the crimson colour on my cheeks giving away my faux confidence.
He just chuckled hoarsely before turning back around and picking up a clean shirt. The shirt had small cartoon characters placed in random places, there was a sherif, a swordswoman, someone that appeared to be some sort of hunter with a crossbow, a kid with a hat, and zombies. There were many other characters, but those were the only ones I could see clearly. I think there was also a baseball bat on his shoulder, but it was only small.
"Just admit that you were checking me out" he teased, turning around and walking towards me, the teasing smirk still present on his face.
"Never" I playfully responded, taking more sips from my coffee.
He sat down beside me, a mischievous glint took over his eyes, and before I could respond I was being attacked my his hands tickling my side as I laughed loudly.
"No! Tyler, stop!" I managed to get out between laughs, gasping a little for breath each time.
"Not until you tell me the truth Noah~" he cooed, continuing to tickle me. I was beginning to fall of the sofa from how much I was squirming to get out of his hold. But I wasn't giving in just yet.
"Never" I laughed out, rolling around from one side to the other, kicking my legs a little as he continued to tickle my overly-ticklish body.
"Come on, I'll stop once you tell me~" I could hear his own chuckles leaving his lips as he moved his hands quickly up and down my sides, his fingers moving around as of he were playing keys on a piano.
His movements weren't stopping as my body began gradually falling off the sofa, my chest moving up and down at a rapid pace as my breathless laughs filled the room. I knew that I had to give in soon or else I would be on the floor, and Tyler knew he'd won by the look in his eyes as he watched me take a breath before I spoke.
"Alright, alright!" I said giggling as he took his hands away, resting his chin on them as he watched me expectantly.
"Go on" he encouraged, I sent him a death glare which he just dismissed with a cheeky smile.
"Fine, yes, I was checking you out" I huffed, rolling my eyes at his smug face. He looked like he'd just won the ice-hockey championship. Is there even such thing as an Ice-hockey championship? I have no idea.
"That was all I needed" his handsome features softened as the room stayed silent. We just stayed there, staring into each others eyes as the clock ticked by.
It felt like minutes had passed, but I was too hipnotized by his emerald green eyes to care, they seemed to swirl around, like water being moved by the breeze in an empty pool. I could stare into his eyes all day, they just seemed to captivate me every time I saw him. He truly was a beautiful boy.
He didn't seem that bothered about my boring brown eyes either, I knew my eyes weren't special, they could never captivate someone the same way his did, and yet he seemed captivated. His gaze never leaving mine, as if he was searching for something. Answers? I don't know, but I never wanted him to stop looking. He made me feel so... Not worthless that it caused my heart to spin around and perform an entire ballet.
"We still need to talk about where your going to be staying" he said, breaking whatever moment we were having, but not completely, since our were still locked on one another.
"I'm sure Olivia will let me stay at hers" his smile seemed to drop slightly at my words, and he slowly tore his gaze away from mine.
"Or, you could stay here with me?" he asked nervously.
"Here? But there's no bed and not enough room" I gave him a tight-lipped smile, but I was still trying to assure him that I would have loved to stay here with him.
"Then we can get you a bed. I know the boss won't mind, they love me here. I'll just tell her how much you mean to me and it'll be fine" I was taken back slightly by his words, what does he mean 'how much I mean to him'? I didn't think I meant much to him at all.
I found myself nodding along, wanting to stay here with him even more after hearing his words.
"How am I going to get all my stuff here?" I asked.
"You're not taking another step inside that house, Noah. At least not yet. But you can write me a list of all the things you need and I can go and get them for you" he had a possessive tone on his voice, like a boyfriend would have if their significant other was going to meet up with an ex lover, and dare I say that I liked that tone on him. It sent butterflies erupting in my stomach, but I was getting used to that feeling when I was around him.
I just simply nodded my head again and he lended me a piece of paper and a pen, and I began writing my short list:
1. Phone
2. Phone charger
3. 'the perks of being a wallflower' book
4. School uniform
5. Spare clothes/my winter clothes
6. Keys/car keysI handed him the list and he frowned at it. Reading it twice over just to make sure he hadn't missed any requests.
"This is all?" he questioned, I could pick up on the sadness in his voice, but decided not to comment on it and instead I just nodded again.
"It's not much, but it's all I need. Oh, I also need my wallet so I can pay for coffee" I said.
"You're not going to need to pay for your coffee any longer, since it'll all be on the house" he smiled, sending me a wink.
And that was our conversation over. He left me for a few minutes to head downstairs and ask his boss if it was okay for me to stay, and I was dreading the thought of them saying no. I knew that Olivia would be more than happy to let me stay with her, but in all honesty, I just wanted to stay with Tyler. It was a scary thought at first, to want to stay with this boy that was still practically a stranger. But then I remembered all he's done for me.
He always makes my coffee order every morning. He's made sure I was safe when I was drunk. He allowed me to have one of the best moments of my life. And he saved me from making a mistake that would have left people in pain.
He's seen me at my most vulnerable stages, and yet he's protected me. From others and from myself. And if that wasn't enough to trust someone, I don't know what is.
It's only been such a short time of knowing him, but I think I've accidentally given him my heart.
I just hope he doesn't break it.
