Olivia POV

The next few days continued much like the Friday and the Saturday and I had gotten to know a little bit about Noah. And boy was he awkward as fuck.

It was both cute and annoying.

We had somehow managed to fool the entire school into thinking that we were dating, properly, as in an actual couple. But we still haven't proved that we were in love. And that's what we needed to do. Ugh! If only Noah would open up a little bit more. I know I'm not exactly an open book either, but all he does is listen. I only know the basic stuff through small talk.

If I'm going to fall in love with him then I needed some deep info. I don't need to know his fucking dad's name! I could learn that when I meet his dad!

Right now, it's after school on Wednesday, and me and Noah are sitting at Rox. We have manged to place "going to Rox" into our daily routine. Noah always grabs a cup of coffee for both me and him before school, and after school, we chat about our day and drink even more coffee.

"This is more difficult then I ever imagined" I said, sighing and placing my head onto the table.

"huh?" Noah said, confused. I just tore him away from whichever part of space he was exploring.

I let out a chuckle and the boy looked even more confused.

"take me on a date" I demanded. I probably sounded more forceful than usual, but I needed to do something, anything, to make him open up to me. We have 55 days left, and the last 5 days were spent doing nothing but faking a relationship. We need to put more effort into this shit.

"A... A date? But... But why? I don't know, um, I don't know how to take anyone out for a date" Noah struggled to find his words. Cute.

I laughed at his reaction which caused him to turn a shade of pink that I'd seen on him more often than not. He was definitely a blusher. If I complimented his hair, he would turn into a tomato. It was hilarious.

"Just take me to the movies and then a pizza place afterwards. That's what everyone else says is a good date. I've never been on a date either but we need to get to know each other more, so then we can fall in love. Ya know, the thing we've been trying to do for the last 5 days", I looked at him again, his cheeks were still pink.

"um, okay then. I'll come by your house at 7 then, I guess. What movie do you want to watch?" he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. It was one of his habits. He would always scratch the back of his neck when he wasn't really sure what to say.

"we'll watch 'the kissing booth 2', I've seen the first one already and apparently the second is good aswel" I said. Noah perked up after hearing the name of the film we were going to watch. There was a literal shine to his eyes.

"I love the Kissing booth!" he said, more exited than I'd ever seen him before.

But before I could comment on it, Noah's waiter crush came and asked if we wanted refills. The shine in Noah's eyes and the smile on his face didn't even disappear, and it was as if a sudden wave of confidence rushed through him. Instead of looking away like he usually did, he stared right into the waiter's eyes and shook his head no before turning back to look at me.

"I'll go home and get ready!" he said, still buzzed with energy.

"slow down dude, it's only 4pm, there's still 3 hours until you have to pick me up". But my words were to no avail. He just shook his head at me.

"if I'm taking you on a date, then I have to look presentable! I'll see you later" he kissed me on the cheek and left the cafe.

"what the fuck" I said. I looked up at the waiter, he seemed equally as confused. He had served us a number of times, and evetytime he did, Noah would look away. "To think that the awkward and shy Noah would get so confident about a romcom. That was actually kind of scary". The waiter just nodded his head beside me. And we were both stuck there frozen in place, until I noticed Noah's keys still there on the table.

I laughed a little and then I counted down from 3. The waiter just looked at me, still frozen in place. And when I got to 1, the bell chimed right on cue and in came Noah. He practically skipped to the table. He then leaned over and grabbed his car keys, he shook them in the air before giving me a bright smile.

I shook my head at him in disbelief and then he was gone again.

"I should get going" I said to hot waiter guy, he seemed to have snapped out of his thoughts after hearing my voice. He nodded at me and then picked up mine and Noah's empty cups and took them away. I stood up from my chair and headed home.

If Noah was going to put in an effort, so was I.
