"This the shit I be talking about." Jay said.
"What?" I asked with an attitude.
"Why you keep putting up with this shit when you don't have to? You see how he do you, you see how he is with your child and you always seem to put up wit it. You out there fighting and he ain't do shit to break it up." He said.
"Yea ok." I put my head on the window.
"Don't get mad at me cause I'm tryna tell you real shit." He said.
"I ain't say I was mad at you, you making it seem like it's my fault." I said.
"You came there to get Serayah you wasted yo' time trying to confront ole dude when you know he wasn't gone give you a valid reason." He said.
"Ok so it's my fault." I said.
"I ain't say that, I'm just saying everything don't cause for a reaction especially when you got her in the car. She the only thing that should've mattered not you trying to make a point. Stop going back and forth with him and just take his ass to court." He said.
"Then you fighting and shit because of him." He continued.
"You think imma just let her talk shit about my child and not do nothing?" I looked at him. "Until you have a child of your own and you get to the point where you have to constantly look out for your child's surroundings and safety because of shit like this, then you can talk to me about the shit." I said
"Im just saying, that whole situation could've been prevented." He said.
"Okay just shut up talking to me cause you finna piss me off." I looked the other way.
"You- Ight imma let you calm down before you forget who you talking to you." He mumbled.
Don't say nothing just choke him- nah you can get in an accident.
"I know exactly who I'm talking to."I mumbled.
The ride back to my house was quiet. I ain't ain't even say nothing to him after I left and got out his car.
When I got out of his car I got in my car so I can take Serayah to the emergency walk in. She's been around weed she could've inhaled it, who knows what else that had over there.
They took blood tests and sat us in a room where she was breathing in oxygen from a mask laying down. I was laying down with her holding her because I know that she felt scared.
"Hey how you doing?" The doctor walked in and closed the curtain.
"Hey, I'm doing fine." I said as I adjusted Serayah and raised up.
"So, yes unfortunately she did inhale some harmful toxins, I'm glad that you brought her here earlier cause usually children don't show signs until several hours later." She said and I just shook my head.
"Mommy, I tired." Serayah tapped my leg.
"Can you explain like how she could be affected by that and what it can cause?" I asked.
"Seeing that she does have asthma, second hand smoke could've triggered an asthma attack. Breathing in hot air, smoke, or any chemical fumes can cause irritation or swelling in your child's airways. When she inhaled the smoke that she was surrounded with, harmful toxins got into her body."
"That's why we took a blood sample for her specifically doing a blood gas test so we could measure how her lungs are working. The blood gas test simply measured the amount of carbon monoxide, oxygen etc. in the blood. The mask is to just help her breathe." She explained.
"That's a lot." I mumbled.
"Yea it is, but she should be find don't stress yourself out I know this wasn't your fault." She said nicely and smiled.
"I prescribed some medicine just to help her breathe better. Make sure that she gets a lot of rest and prop her head up a little when she's laying down so It can be easier for a cough to come out and keep her away from cold and dry air." She said.
"Okay thank you so much, can I get a copy of the the tests ran and you know just the situations." I said.
"Of course, you already signed the papers right?" She asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Okay well I'll be right back with your copies and then you'll be free to go." She said after she took the mask off of Serayah.
After she came back with the papers we left. On our way home I made a call to my lawyer about gaining full custody of Serayah.
That's why I asked for copies of everything so I can have evidence of what happens when she's in his care plus I know that Nicole wouldn't mind speaking on the other situation.
I shouldn't have to be worried when she's in her father's care or family's care period. I'm not even asking for child support. I have no problem with providing for my child on my own with the good money that I make.
The only time he'll be able to see her is if I'm there. It might sound extra but I don't care, she was in the hospital because of the shit he surrounded her with so I have a right to do what I'm doing.
And anybody that has a problem with it or got something say can come to me and kiss my ass disrespectfully. Like I said before I'll do anything to protect my child and her well beings like a mother should.
