Since I was done doing things around the house I decided to go the bank and put some more money in my daughter's savings account.

I put the money in an envelope before putting it in my purse and leaving.

Once I got there I got out of the car and was headed inside.

"Hi, how can I help you?" The lady smiled.

"Hey, I'm here to make a deposit to a savings account." I said.

"What name is the account under?" She asked.

"Sabrea Golden." I said.

"Alrighty just give me a second." She smiled as she typed quickly. "Okay can you fill out this deposit slip for me?" She asked as she gave me a pen.

I filled out the slip carefully writing the date, my signature, and the amount I'm putting into the account before giving her the slip and the pen.

I then gave her the envelope with the money inside so she can check it and submit it.

"Alright and we're done." She smiled.

"Oh and just to check can you tell me the total that's in the account now?" I asked.

"Of course." She said moving the mouse. "$115,200." She said.

The amount was supposed to be 250K so I was confused.

"Are you sure, can you check again?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes ma'am it's $115,200. Is it a problem?" She asked.

"No, thank you." I smiled leaving out calling Avontae. He's the only one besides me that has access to the account because we both add money into it so she can have something when she's older.

I called three times and he didn't pick up so I was driving to his house.

Once I got there I rang the doorbell and he opened it.

"What?" He asked dryly allowing me to walk in as he closed the door behind me.

"I went to make a deposit into her savings account today. Why is $136,300 missing from it?" I asked and he just stared at me.

"You deaf?" I asked.

"I took it out." He said.

"For what?"

"It was dirty money, and I put it in so I took it back out until I took care of it." He said.

"If you knew it was dirty money why would you put it in her account. I don't want nothing you're doing mixing up with that." I said.

He chuckled as he shook his head and picked up a duffel bag. He opened it and it was filled with money. He took out 5 stacks and sat them in front of me.

"That's better?" He asked.

"Avontae this is drug money I don't want that in her account I just told you that." I looked at him.

"It's not drug money ma." He smirked. "This clean I promise." He laughed

"I'm not putting that in her account." I said.

"Don't got to, I'll do it." He shrugged.

"And you wonder why you got a court date coming up. Look at all this shit you doing. You trying to be locked away and miss years of her life?" I asked.

"So now you worried bout' me missing out, like you not tryna take full custody." He said.

"That's different. I'm not keeping her away from you I just have to be around when you spend time with her." I said.

"For what, I don't need you supervise me I know what I'm doing- Apparently you don't!" I cut him off as I raised my voice and he stepped closer to me. He's taller than me so he was looking down a little.

"How?" He asked.

"Okay let's see." I shrugged. "First you had her in a house full of smoke and weed and had groupie ass hoes holding her. Then, when I specifically told you not to take her over your mother's house you did and what happened? Oh she put her hands on her." I said and he clenched his jaws.

"And lets not forget how recently you performed oral sex while you were supposed to be watching her." I said.

"I been apologized for all of that and took care of those situations and you know I did." He said.

"That's the thing you keep being sorry for stuff that should've never happened and you constantly do dumb shit, we shouldn't even have to go through this. Yea you apologized but I doubt you learned your lesson. You not about to keep manipulating me into thinking I'm in the wrong or manipulate me to make me come back to you.Just face the consequences then I'll see if you learned your lesson." I said.

"So I manipulated you into coming back to me." He said dryly looking at me. I felt like he was staring into my soul. I just remembered what my auntie told me.

"Can't let his handsome face fool you."

"I'm not finna do this." I said backing away about to turn around when he pulled me gently to him with his arm around my waist.

"Avontae I'm for real." I looked at him.

"Nah you made that decision to come back to me I ain't manipulate you." He said. "I ain't force you to do nothing you didn't want to."

"I never said that, I know what I did." I said.

"You regret it?" He said.

"Stop doing that." I moved his hand from around my waist and he smirked.

"I ain't do nothing all I did was ask a question." He said and I stared at him.

"No I don't regret it." I said

"I'm not doing this again, I'm leaving." I said walking out and going to my car.I backed out of the driveway and played some music when Street Runner By Rod Wave came on.

I don't know why it's always like that when I see him. Like I know he ain't shit but damn why he gotta have that affect on me.

I've been knowing him since I was 18. I was still dealing with the loss of my mother and he helped me. We were friends before anything and one thing led to another.

I'm emotionally connected to him. I'm trying so hard to let him go and not let what he does affect me. I did the right thing by walking away before I was caught up again.
