The trained Shadowhunter trio wandered about Brooklyn for god knows how long until for some unknown reason they stumbled across a cafe that was apparently open at that unholy hour of the morning, inside was Eden, without a sliver of doubt, down to the scar that ran from her cheekbone down to her jaw, dried blood sat at the corner of her lips from where they stood and she looked like she'd just traveled to hell.

Eden must have felt watched because she turned around to the window and saw them, the kind smile on her face faltered as she picked up the take away cup, quietly thanking the waitress before walking out. "You guys look like you went on a goose chase." she teased them, knowing fully well that she was the goose in the situation.

"What happened to you?" Isabelle questioned worried, the theory that the Garroway girl had an abusive ex still messing with her head, Eden looked at the trio before gently turning to the side to show off the backpack, a faux yet believable smile etching on her lips as she replied "No offense but we don't dress for funerals everyday."

A smile actually grew on Alec's lips, causing him to turn his head to the side while Izzy and Jace looked utterly baffled with the situation, "And underwear, I'm sorry but I don't wear other people's underwear." she continued, amusing herself with the fact that Alec looked like he was about to burst out laughing at his sister and parabatai's reactions.

"And you couldn't have warned us?" Jace questioned, rather annoyed it would seem, his voice turning slightly cold, triggering Eden into stepping out of her moment and stand taller, just as tall as him and look him dead in the eyes and tell him calmly "I don't answer to you, pup."

Eden's words would have been funny if she was with her pack and not with hunters but even though it wasn't meant to be funny, Alec had to clear his throat and keep looking away so that he didn't bust out laughing, which was something that was completely out of character of him. This reaction caused his parabatai to once again looked as if he was conflicted between cowering away from her and rebutting, obviously choosing the prior due to the fact that Eden kept reminding him of the High Inquisitor and for a moment he saw the High Inquisitor before him instead of Eden, that was until a bell on the counter rang, making him return to reality and see the mixed woman before him.

"Who's watching Clary?" Eden questioned once Jace stepped slightly away from her, looking like a kicked puppy, something that amused Eden more than anything considering that she was the one who turned into a wolf and not him. "Hodge." Izzy replied, reaching forward to clean the blood from Eden's face, a worried expression taking over her features. A look of disdain crossed the 23-year-old woman but it quickly dissipated.

"Why isn't the guy who was runing me watching her?" Eden quizzed, pulling her cup to her lips and taking a sip of the warm beverage, the steam coming from it telling the trio that it was indeed warm. "He was sent from the Silent City, a soon-to-be Brother." Isabelle replied, her eyes looking around them while Alec seemed to finally calm down enough to compose himself.

"We need to return to the Institute." Alec said after a long pause in which they were standing there, or rather Eden was standing there alone, at least in the opinion of mundane, everyone nodded, even the mixed Garroway woman who did so begrudgingly, knowing that it wasn't really safe to stay away from the Institute for too long.
