The older man, Hodge, was the first one to speak, saying "Eden Penelope, how you've grown up gorgeous." his hand raising to his chest, hovering over his heart, the Lightwood siblings both looked at Hodge in confusion to him not only knowing Eden's middle name but knowing her, "I'm sorry I don't know you." Eden replied, giving the man a clearly faux apologetic smile that the siblings noticed, taking a cautionary step back.

Hodge chuckled slightly "I wouldn't expect you to remember me. You were quite little when we last saw each other." His brows furrowed, "I think that you were about 3 or 4." The siblings both kept their eyes trained on the brunette girl who stared at their mentor, her faux smile never fading as he spoke, something that, for some reason, made them feel uneasy.

"I don't remember anything before moving to Brooklyn with my dad." Eden replied, keeping her tone polite, Hodge's brows furrowed for a moment before he gave her a faux smile in return and questioning "How is Stephen?" this caused Eden's faux smile to fall and a frown to grow on her face.

"Stephen? Your father's name is Stephen?" Alec questioned, liking that he had a piece more of information on one of the girls that disrupted his mission, although he genuinely believed that one wrong word and he would die a slow and painful death by her hand. "No." Eden corrected, "My dad's name is Luke."

"I need to find my sister." She added, walking forward towards the door that Hodge and Alec had walked in from, leaving the siblings in the Infirmary with a confused Hodge. Alec was the first to come to his senses, turning around and following after the Garroway young woman, his sister following after him but not before missing Hodge say out loud to himself "I thought she was Stephen and Amatis' Eden."

"Jace will find your sister and bring her here." Alec reminded as he followed after the brunette girl, "She could be dead by then, I'll find her faster on my own." Eden retorted, "How can you track her faster than a trained Shadowhunter?" Isabelle innocently inquired rhetorically. This made Eden stop in her tracks and turn to the siblings, making them nearly crash into her, "By being her sister." she replied, her voice strong, with a hint of finality.

"Shadowhunters are one of the top 5 species to be considered best trackers, our runes make sure of it." Isabelle explained in a vain attempt to calm down Eden, "Oh bite me." Eden snapped, her hazel eyes narrowing at the Lightwood siblings.

"If you just calm down you'll see that Jace has got your sister." Alec said calmly, attempting desperately to stay alive by not infuriating the woman before him. Almost as if on cue Jace entered the hallways holding a passed-out Clary in his arms, much like Isabelle had carried Eden into the Institute.

Isabelle breathed out in relief and Eden looked over her shoulder at the blond in question, turning around to face him and eagerly pull her sister from his arms and into hers, her hazel eyes not missing the rune on her neck, one identical to the one on her side, when Clary unknowingly nuzzled her head towards her neck.

"I had to draw that, she was attacked by a demon." Jace explained when he saw the accusatory look on Eden's face. "Bring her in here, she can be monitored till she wakes up." Hodge called from the Infirmary where he had been left by the trio, Eden, although not too happy with the idea of having to stay in the Institute, turned towards the Infirmary, carrying her sister inside.
