The walk to the kitchen was silent, but just as enlightening as it could be, the duo learned that the other was just as stubborn and as headstrong as they were, something that could be both a disaster or an amazing thing.

"I could press charges you know?" Eden quipped as they entered the kitchen, watching with satisfaction as she saw the Lightwood's shoulder's sag slightly, "Even if you did save us," her fingers doing the quotation marks, "It is still kidnapping, you could've easily dropped both of us off at a hospital."

Alec ignored her in favour of making something edible, no matter what it was, something that would shut up the clearly mixed woman up, "Mom did always say Never leave the house without a weapon, funny how the one time I didn't I get tangled up with you idiots." at her words Alec halted for a moment, silently recalling her words from earlier.

Eden clearly saw this because she was quick to explain "The woman who raised me, not my biological mother." earning a guttural hum from the tall man who had his broad shoulders turned to her, something that she would often admire in men but in the moment she didn't care much for.

"Tell me things I need to know as a shadowhunter Lightworm." She proclaimed as she hoisted herself onto a high chair at the kitchen island in perfect view of Alec's annoyed features, she watched as his blue eyes rose to meet hers with such intensity that she could tell that he already murdered her at least a dozen times in his mind.

"Lightwood." Alec began by correcting, returning his eyes to the mix that he was making, "And you need to know how to protect yourself and mundane simultaneously, how to spot a shapeshifting demon or any demon for that matter." his voice was gruff, indicating that he was not happy with the fact that he was the one giving her a lesson on what it was she had to do as a descendant of Raziel.

"Other than that, mom and dad already gave me that speech back when I turned 18." Eden groaned, placing her elbows on the cold kitchen island countertop and resting her chin on her hands, making her look positively adorable, something that Alec did take notice of. "Tell me about the Clave." her dark caramel eyes watching as his brilliant blue eyes widened in surprise.

"Dad told me that my grandmother works for them." her voice had lowered slightly, almost as if she was touching a forbidden subject, "And before you ask no I don't know her name or what she looks like."  Alec nodded and thought for a moment "What do you know about the Clave?" he questioned, wanting, no, hoping to have a base from where to go.

"Well, let's see." Eden hummed, leaning back on her chair, Isabelle's tight and revealing clothes making her look absolutely ravishing, "They are backstabbing sons of truckers who only care about their kind and have no remorse for the consequences that their actions might bring to the other Shadow Worlders. Not to mention the rather stone age rules they have implemented against and for every other kind that is not a nephilim."
