Eden all but crashed into Isabelle shortly after the left the kitchen, both of them rounding a corner at the same time, it was so sudden and quick that neither of them were expecting it, a groan left Izzy's lips as her head hit the ground, followed by another one when Eden's forehead knocked into hers, "Fucking hell." escapes Eden's lips before she opens her eyes, ready to glare at the person until they are in the next century.
But the sight of a pursed lips, furrowed brows and eye closed Izzy made her jaw slack momentarily, the curses and insults that had been at the tip of her tongue all but vanishing into thin air, Isabelle opened her eyes seconds later also getting ready to glare at the person, only to end up smirking when she saw Eden.
"You know, I usually prefer to be in this position in a bed." the trained shadowhunter teased, watching as a deep blush spread across Eden's face, before reaching up to push a bit of hair behind her ear and leaning up towards her, leaving little to no space between their faces, allowing her breath to fan Eden's lips "Naked."
Her words made Eden jump up to the balls of her feet, turning away and coughing slightly, amusing Izzy to no end, it wasn't that she had never been in that position before, but rather the fact that when Izzy told her that, Eden's heart seemed to have turned into a racing car's motor. "Easy, just teasing." Isabelle laughed as she stood up, running a hand through her hair to fix it.
Her eyes racking Eden's body up until they reached her face, her clothes did look extremely good on the newcomer, "I dressed Clary in the shirt you asked me for, I was just coming to look for you guys." the Lightwood girl claimed, tilting her head to the side, "T-Thanks." Eden replied lowly refusing to look at Isabelle for the time being, "Alec and the annoying blonde are in the kitchen."
A hum left the Lightwood's lips as she nodded at her, watching as Eden rubbed the palms of her hands against the leather pants she was wearing, alerting the Lightwood that she was anxious about something, "I should find your teacher, Alec said that he'd be the one training me and later Clary." even as she said that Eden still didn't glance at Isabelle.
For the second time that night Eden's phone rang, saving her from possibly being teased by the Lightwood girl, her finger quickly slipped into her pocket and fished her phone out, allowing her eyes to scan the screen, checking the name of the contact. Isabelle saw Eden suck in a deep breath before she answered the phone, taking everything in her not to use her enhanced hearing to listen in on the conversation.
Although by the looks of her face she knew that it was neither the person she wanted to be calling her nor someone she necessarily liked.
"Theo." she greeted in a low and obedient tone, the least she could do without being near him to bow her head, "Where's your father? He's not picking up his phone." her alpha all but growled at her in anger, understandable anger, "I don't know, he," she started before looking at Isabelle with a grim smile, a silent plead for her to walk away.
Something that although she wasn't comfortable doing, the Lightwood girl did.
Once out of reach Eden walked further down the hall and into one of the room, an empty one it would seem, "He called earlier, he was frantic about something," she explained but was cut off by her alpha growling at her "Did he say anything important?"
A whimper left the young Garroway's lips, her hazelish eyes looking outside to the dark sky, "Only that we'd been found." her voice was low, so low and obedient that anyone in the institute who had met her would believe she was a completely different person than the fireball that they had met, "Get to the den. Now." Her alpha ordered.
"I can't, Dad told me to keep Clary safe." she attempted to reason, knowing fully well that the outcome would be one of two things and prayed to Raziel that it wouldn't be the worst of them. A moment of silence followed, silence so deafening that Eden swore she could hear her own blood rush through her veins and her heart pump it, "Damn you Graymarks and your undying love for the Fairchilds..." Theo mumbled, clearly further away from the speaker of the phone as his voice was majorly muffled.
The names he used confused the young werewolf but she kept quiet, nothing better than to piss off her Alpha when he was already displeased with her, "I said, get to the den Eden, or you'll be on your own against Valentine."
