The Quirk Marriage (Todoroki x Reader)

The final round

Todoroki's POV

As soon as {Y/N}'s battle was pronounced over I ran into the middle of the arena, just in time to watch her give me a closed-eyed smile as she began to fall backwards, passing out. Luckily, Bakugou managed to catch her the second she almost hit the ground, as he had just broken out of her ice.

This new quirk of hers... was an odd development. So can she create ice? Or is it just that she can turn water to ice? Anyhow, no matter what it was she did, it was obviously this new development that caused her to pass out. She pushed herself way too hard, she could have won against Bakugou without over-using her quirk. I rushed over to her a bit quicker now and scooped her out of Bakugou's arms, staring down at him with my usual monotone expression, before walking towards Recovery Girl's office.

It took 15 minutes after arriving at Recovery Girl's office for {Y/N} to wake up. Recovery girl had treated her wounds while she was passed out, and now she had to rest until her match with me, which is in less than half an hour now.

"{Y/N}," I begin, the {h/c} haired girl turning her head to face me, "since when have you been able to produce ice?" 
The girl just looks at me and chuckles slightly, "I didn't even know I could until that round, Sho. I just changed the water temperature and... BAM!" she holds out her hands, obviously imitating Bakugou when he uses his quirk. 

We spend the next 10 minutes speaking to each other, before Recovery Girl tells me I should start heading towards my designated waiting room. Hesitantly, I stand up and nod before walking to the door, my final words directed towards my fiancée, "I won't lose.". Then I walk out, shutting the door behind me carefully.

{Y/N}'s POV

It's been a few minutes since Sho left the room now, and it's finally time for me to head towards my waiting room. I thank Recovery Girl for looking after me as I step out, heading the opposite way Sho went.

As I'm turning the corner, I run into someone. Someone I was hoping I didn't run into. Todoroki Enji, better known as Endeavor. The man looks down at me with a disapproving gaze before he begins speaking. "{L/N}. You will not win this match. You are no where near good enough.", he frowns, causing my eyes to widen.
"Excuse me?" I respond, clearly irritated. "Listen, 'Mr. Endeavor'. You can not tell me whether I am or are not good enough."

He snarls at me, "You're a bad influence on Shoto. You may be marrying him, but this does not mean you can influence him the way you are."
I'm shocked by his words, when have I ever influenced him? I've never done anything to put him against his father! I clench my fists as I look at the floor, "...You arranged the marriage, not me."

He's silent for a moment, and I take this chance to walk past him, trying to keep my head high. "{Y/N}!" his voice booms down the hallway. I stop in my tracks, scared of what he would say next. "The only good thing about you is your quirks. You will never be a good hero. Do not forget your place."
With those final words, he heads back towards the stands, leaving me with tears strolling down my face. Suddenly I hear the cheers from the audience as Present Mic announces the start of the match. Wiping my tears I rush towards my entry point, quickly putting on a poker face as I walk into the middle of the arena.

I reach the middle of the arena and come face to face with my... I don't even know what we are. Fake fiancée? Fake boyfriend? Well, I mean, is it really fake? We are engaged, so not fake fiancée. He treats me like I am his actual girlfriend, and I... may have real feelings for him, so a crush? I'm gonna just stick with Fiancée. 
I quickly get into a fighting stance as Present Mic screams over the auditorium, claiming this is the match of the day, a 'fight between lovers', then telling us to begin. 

I take a quick glance at Sho, recognising he isn't making any advances towards me at the moment, and twist my foot against the ground. The ground around Sho quickly turns into quick sand, but he jumps out of the way before he can be sucked in.
He stares at me with a serious expression, before sending his ice my way. I quickly send scorching water towards the ice, burning my hand in the process. I stop sending the water towards him, convinced he was no longer firing at me, but the moment I do I get hit with his ice, knocking me backwards a few steps. I create a wall behind me by using the earth from outside the arena. 

I was confused at the boys actions. Why wasn't he using his fire like he did against Midoriya? Sho seemed to be getting fed up of firing ice at me from a long distance, as it got blocked every time. The problem with my quirk and Sho's quirk is that we were at a huge disadvantage against each other. If I sent water at him, he could freeze it easily. If he sent ice at me, I could use my scorching water to dissolve it. If he sends fire at me, I can put it out with my water. If I used my new-found ice on him, he could burn it. 

It wasn't only that though, I could block his attacks with my earth and my air. I can redirect his attacks with my- Wait, that's how I win! Smiling to myself, I wait for him to start attacking me again. He looks at me suspiciously before sending another wave of icicles towards me. Just before they reach me, I use the air around me to send them back towards him. He rolls out of the way just in time and frowns, I'm pretty sure everyone can see how upset he's getting at this point. I distract him by using my earth quirk to throw rocks at him, all coming towards him from different directions. 
As I do this I can feel my energy draining, I really shouldn't over-use my quirk, but I need to prove myself. I am good enough. I charge towards him and send a wave of water over him, quickly adjusting the temperature and freezing him in place, the same tactic I used on Bakugou.

I thought it would work, considering he wasn't using his fire side. However, this seemed to be be the last straw for him, as fire erupted from his left side, sending me flying backwards. I use my air manipulation to hover before I went out of bounds. It was just like my battle with Bakugou. Smoke was everywhere, I couldn't see. I fly above the smoke and look around, immediately locking eyes with Endeavor. He gave me an extremely disapproving look and I froze as he mouthed the words 'not good enough'.
These words repeated over and over in my head, and I completely forgot what I was doing. That was, until Sho sent his fire straight towards me. I didn't have time to react and was immediately knocked out of bounds and engulfed by his flames, hitting my head as I landed against one of the arena walls.

"{L/N} IS OUT OF BOUNDS!"

I lost. 

/AN; I'm so sorry that this chapter isn't that good! I had a rough day and just decided to write to pass the time and cheer myself up. The next chapter will be better I promise!! (:
