The Quirk Marriage (Todoroki x Reader)

Cavalry Battle!

We stood in the middle of the stadium with the rest of the students who passed the first obstacle, awaiting our next challenge. Midnight stands in front of us and explains that only the top 42 students could advance to the next stage. Angry sighs erupt from the students who didn't pass, as they all walk off the field and to their respective class seats to watch the rest of the festival. She then begins to explain our challenge. A Cavalry Battle. 
The R-Rated Pro Hero looks at our confused faces and explains carefully. "Ok, you must form a team of 2-4 people and collect the others headbands. These headbands contain points depending on what you placed in the first obstacle." Everyone grimaces as she exclaims this next part, "Example, Midoriya's headband is worth 10 million!". The timid Midoriya literally shakes at this, poor guy. "Ok, the cavalry battle is 15 minutes long! Team up!", Midnight explains as she walks away.

I'm looking around and see that basically everyone I know is in a team. Bakugou is with Kirishima, Mina and Sero. Midoriya is with a pink haired girl, Uraraka and Tokoyami. Jiro with Hagakure, Koda and Sato. And Sho completely abandoned me! He's with Kami, Momo and Iida. How come all my closest friends left me?!
I look around and spot a three person team, and one person I know. "OJIRO!" I shout as I skip towards him. He seemed to be in a trance, "Hmm? Ojiro? You okay man?" No response. "Oookay," I look towards the purple haired boy he's with, "Can I team up with you guys? Everyone kinda left me." I smile sweetly. He just nods at me, clearly confused as to why I'd join him. "I'm {L/N, Y/N}!" I introduce, sticking out my hand. "Shinso Hitoshi." he replies carefully. "Ok! Let's make a plan!"

After a few minutes of planning, I discovered Hitoshi's quirk is Brainwash. He can control people once they answer any question he asks. I giggle, "Explains why all those people were carrying you earlier!" He blushes slightly, "Eh, you saw that?" he answers, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yup!" I state, punching his arm enthusiastically. I shiver as I feel someone's eyes boring in to the back of my head. Turning around, I make eye contact with Sho, who is walking straight towards me. "What the hell babe? Why didn't you join up with Jiro or something?" He states, clearly angry. I frown at him, "Todoroki Shoto. Cameras. Stop causing a scene." He flinches as I call him by his full name, I only call him like this when I'm really angry, every other time I call him Sho or candy-cane. "Fine... but we're talking about this after." He says harshly, walking back to his team. Hitoshi looks at me, clearly amused, "Trouble in paradise?". I look him in the eyes, "If only you knew the half of it."

After a while, the battle begins. People obviously started aiming for my headband, since I did come in third, but I used the air aspect of my quirk to keep them back, while Hitoshi asked them questions, using his quirk to force them to give us headbands. Unlike most teams, we weren't aiming for Midoriya. That would have been stupid. 
We aimed for all the teams lagging behind, there wouldn't have been a point in going for the ones being attacked, it would have only caused trouble. We cornered all of these small teams and swiped all their headbands, then there were only some left with headbands. Our team was now in second place, and we had 5 more minutes left on the clock. We decided to just focus on defending now, as it was a lot easier than trying to gain more points from the stronger teams. By stronger teams we mean Bakugou and Sho's teams. 

Speaking of them, they were in the middle of a heated battle with Midoriya's team, but they were only getting in the way of one another. Sho was continuously using his ice to trap Midoriya's team and get close enough to steal their headband, but Bakugou was busy attacking both teams, while aiming for the headband. Honestly, they completely forgot there was other teams to go for. Absolute imbeciles. 

After contently watching them for five minutes, the battle ended. In first place was Sho's team after stealing Midoriya's headband. Bakugou's team came in second, they managed to snag another teams headband once they couldn't get Midoriya's. My team came third, and honestly I was proud as fuck! Midoriya's team came in fourth, he just made it into the finals!
I smiled at Hitoshi and gave him a big hug, honestly I couldn't have been happier with the results. As I was about to pull away I felt a hand on the back of my shirt and yelped as I was pulled away. I waved towards Hitoshi and smiled once more before turning around, smacking Sho across the head. "Don't pull me away from my friends, asshole." I say, venom laced in my voice. He smirked and replied with, "Cameras, {N/N}. Stop causing a scene." to which I just left my mouth wide open, he used my own words against me!

The next event was about to begin. 16 people had advanced to the next stage, these people were;
Team Shoto: Todoroki Shoto, Iida Tenya, Yaoyorozu Momo and Kaminari Denki.
Team Bakugou (Bakuhoe): Bakugou Katsuki, Ashido Mina, Kirishima Eijirou and Sero Hanta.
Team Midoriya: Midoriya Izuku, Uraraka Ochako, Hatsume Mei and Tokoyami Fumikage.
Team Shinso: Shinso Hitoshi, Ojiro Mashirao, Shoda Nirengeki and ME, aka, {L/N, Y/N}.

Sadly, in the middle of explaining, Ojiro and Shoda withdrew from the tournament as they claimed they couldn't accept a battle they couldn't remember as a win. I understood where they were coming from, but I wasn't going to drop out of the tournament. Then again, my situation was different, I wasn't brainwashed like they were. The two dropouts were replaced by two students from Team Tetsutetsu. These were Shiozaki Ibara and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.
