"Holy shit." He was in genuine shock, and he couldn't stop looking. "What were you so nervous about? You're huge." Cooper was trying to guess how big it was, but his mind seemed to be broken.
River started bursting out laughing. "I've never heard you cuss before." Usually his laugh gets a reaction from Cooper, but bigger things were going through his mind. "I was more worried about you."
As he should be, that thing would destroy him.
Realizing that he'd fast forward a little too much, he finally snapped out of it and met River's eyes.
"Are you still sure you want to do this?" River asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. This was probably what he was worried about; that Cooper would get too nervous or scared and want to back out, and usually he would, but it was different now. Something in Cooper awoke, and he was feeling hornier than ever now that he finally got to see all of River.
Nodding his head, he reached out to grab it, but River told him to wait as he got off the bed and took off his pants, leaving his underwear on. Cooper got up to kneel on the bed so they were the same height and closed his eyes, kissing him again, but this time unbuttoned his shirt and kissed down his neck before going back up to his lips. He took River's shirt off and broke the kiss opening his eyes just to be shocked again.
"You have a tattoo?!" There, in small letters on his upper left pec, were the words, This has been my longest day. Cooper reached out and unknowingly rubbed it as if he were trying to take it off.
"Tattoos are permanent, Cooper." River said sarcastically, his hands on Cooper's waist.
Cooper was very curious and couldn't believe he never noticed it. Shirtless River was one of his favorite River's. "When did you get it?" He kept touching it and rubbing it, too occupied to remember what the original plan was.
River watched him the entire time and let out a light laugh, "Back in September." He replied as if it was nothing.
Finally tearing his eyes away from it, the shock didn't leave his face as he looked at River. "You've had it this whole entire time, and I didn't know!? I've seen you shirtless a bunch of times; how did I not see this?" He almost sounded mad, but he wasn't; he was just in shock that he had a literal tattoo. He was acting as if he'd never seen a tattoo in his life.
Sensing the upset tone in his voice, River looked at him cautiously, "Are you upset?" Cooper also couldn't get over how River's parents would let him get a tattoo. Then again, he was 18, so really, he could do whatever he pleased.
Shaking his head, Cooper smirked, "No, I'm actually kind of more turned on now. What's the meaning behind it?" He asked, going back to touching it.
"It's from an ABBA song my mom used to sing to me growing up." The mention of his mom surprised Cooper.
Now reading the lyrics, his gay music seemed like sad music. "What song? Is that why you like them so much?" He made fun of them a lot, but in reality, he liked them.
"My Love, My Life. I guess that's why; I grew up listening to them because of my parents." Both parents had now been mentioned, and Cooper figured he'd change the subject before he got River family tree. He'd get it later.
Cooper then looked at the infamous necklace that he also knew nothing about. "What about this?" He asked while touching it, completely forgetting the tattoo.
Looking down and also taking it in his hand, he explained the meaning behind it. "It's Saint Christopher; he's the patron saint of travelers. Both my parents have one. I had one that was St. Benedict, but I lost it, so my mom gave me hers."
