_______Cooper was excited to see River after two weeks of him being in France and had practically counted down the days for him to come back. Since he didn't come back until the early hours of Saturday morning, they agreed to take it easy for the day and hang out where they always did on the weekends. There was a lot that happened during the break, like the camping trip, Cooper changing his hair, and a bunch of other stuff he was excited to tell River about. They texted every day and spoke once awhile, but he missed River's physical touch, like his hugs and smelling his cologne; he almost yearning for it.
Finished getting ready, Cooper grabbed his board and walked out to the kitchen where his mom was at.
"I'm going out."
She looked up from her computer and eyed him up and down, noticing he actually looked somewhat dressed up. "Where are you going?" She asked in a curious voice.
"Everywhere." He answered short.
He was still upset over her telling everyone about what happened with his dad, but they had talked it out, and she was backing off him a little bit. "Alright, just send a text if you're going to spend the night."
Cooper just gave her a nod and headed out the door walking down the street until he saw River's car.
Getting in, he had a smile on his face, and so did River, but it soon vanished as his eyes got wide. He looked at Cooper as if he had three heads and looked at him up and down. "Your hair," All Cooper did was raise his eyebrows, and River reached out and touched it, still in shock. "It's black."Frowning, Cooper touched it as well, "Do you like it?" If River didn't like it, then he would bleach it back or even shave it.
Twirling a few strands, River seemed to take it in and nodded his head. "I forgot you did something with it. I like it; it makes your features pop more. What made you do it?"
Cooper gave him a smirk and leaned on the console. "I was feeling," he stopped to think but still had a small smirk. "Rebellious."
His words made River cock a brow at him, "Rebellious." He repeated. "And what did your parents have to say about this?"
Shrugging, Cooper sat back in his seat and ran a hand through his hair, "My mom got mad and wanted me to change it back, and my dad kept asking why, but they both got over it after a couple of days." Putting the visor down, he looked at himself in the mirror and pursed his lips, "What do you think of the length? My barber went way too short."
"It looks fine; I like it," River flashed him his signature dimpled smile, and Cooper leaned over the console so they could kiss. River cupped his cheek and connected their lips, giving him a soft kiss. "I missed you."
A smirk stayed on Cooper's lips as their lips brushed, "That's gay." He whispered.
River playfully pushed his face away and went to start the car, "Uh uh, let's get something to eat."
They went to get burgers from Cooper's favorite place, and since they were apart for practically the whole break, their lunch was spent talking about it, and Cooper was interested in hearing about Paris.
"So, how was it?" He asked eagerly as soon as they sat down at their table.
Taking a sip from his drink, River smiled at him. Neither of them had stopped smiling since the moment they saw each other in the car. "It was good; my dad had to do some business, so it was just my mom and me sometimes, but I'd rate it an 8/10."
